Alert: You Might Want To Boycott This Popular Restaurant Chain That Pulled Ads From Tucker Carlson’s Show

(Tea Party PAC) – Yet another company has decided to move its advertising from Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” after pressure from leftists. This time, it’s seafood chain Red Lobster.

TheWrap reports that the chain did not specify why they had decided to pull their ads, but leftist activist Judd Legum and others worked to bring Red Lobster president Salli Setta’s attention to a comment Carlson made last week about pay disparities between men and women.

Carlson said, “study after study has shown that when men make less than women, women generally don’t want to marry them.”

“Maybe they should want to marry them but they don’t,” he said. “Over big populations, this causes a drop in marriage, a spike in out of wedlock births and all the familiar disasters that inevitably follow, more drug and alcohol abuse, higher incarcerations rates, fewer families formed in the next generation.”

Just last month, Carlson lost 25 sponsors after a backlash to his comments that illegal immigrants made the U.S. “poorer” and “dirtier.”

In a statement, Red Lobster said that its “advertising buying guidelines reflect our core values and commitment to supporting programming that represents the highest standards of good taste, fair practice and objectivity.”

However, liberal activist Judd Legum and others flagged to Red Lobster president Salli Setta a comment Carlson made last week about women’s pay.

Carlson faced an ad boycott last month, losing 25 sponsors after he said illegal immigrants made the United States “poorer” and “dirtier.”

Red Lobster said in a statement that its “advertising buying guidelines reflect our core values and commitment to supporting programming that represents the highest standards of good taste, fair practice and objectivity.”

“We reserve the right to make changes to our purchases when the dialogue is no longer in line with our criteria,” the Red Lobster statement said.

A representative for Fox News referred TheWrap to a previous statement in which the network defended Carlson.

“We cannot and will not allow voices like Tucker Carlson to be censored by agenda-driven intimidation efforts from the likes of Moveon.org, Media Matters and Sleeping Giants,” Fox News said.

“Attempts were made last month to bully and terrorize Tucker and his family at their home. He is now once again being threatened via Twitter by far left activist groups with deeply political motives. While we do not advocate boycotts, these same groups never target other broadcasters and operate under a grossly hypocritical double standard given their intolerance to all opposing points of view.”

You may remember last November, when a mob went to Carlson’s house and threatened his wife, chanting “We know where you sleep at night.”

Carlson was at the Fox studio at the time, but his wife was at home where she hid in their pantry in fear.

In a video of the “protest,” one of the mob members can be heard saying, “Tucker Carlson, we are outside your home to protest … fascism and racism.”

“You promote hate,” another said.
