(Tea Party PAC) – Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has been broadly mocked for as long as she’s been in the public eye.
Not only is she ditzy, barely understands how the government works, hates America and wants to destroy our economy in the name of the planet, but she’s also a big, fat hypocrite.
You’ve heard about her bogus photoshoot at the border where she pretended to cry, the gas-guzzling cars she uses to show up at media events, the money she had in savings while complaining she couldn’t afford rent in DC, and the lavish Washington DC apartment she procured despite being so broke.
In her latest hilarious incident of raging hypocrisy, she criticized South Bend Mayor and 2020 Democratic candidate Pete Buttigieg for receiving donations from billionaires when she herself has done exactly that.
Not only has she accepted donations from billionaires, but one such billionaire is none other than Tom Steyer, another 2020 primary candidate! Ha!
AOC made her comments about Buttigieg during a Los Angeles, California rally for her pick for the party nomination, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) on Saturday, according to Fox Business.
For anyone who accuses us of instituting purity tests, it’s called having values. It’s called giving a damn. It’s called having standards for your conduct, to not be funded by billionaires but to be funded by the people, which is different. Let me tell you something… I go to work all the time and I hear people say, “what will my donors think?; I hear that phrase. And I hear and I see that billionaires get members of Congress on speed dial and waitresses don’t, okay? There’s a difference.
In August of 2018, before her first election, Steyer made a $2,700 donation to AOC’s campaign, according to data from the Center for Responsive Politics.
On Steyer’s presidential campaign website, it states that “Tom has worked directly with people to take on big corporations and win” and that he planned to “break the corporate stranglehold on our government, and enact the structural reforms we need to save our democracy.”
Sanders also took a swipe at Buttigieg for the mayor’s comments on Democrat “purity tests” which he had aimed at Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) during last week’s Democrat debates.
We don’t go to rich people’s wine caves. This is a campaign of the working class of this country, by the working class, and for the working class. Our campaign has received more contributions from more people than any candidate in the history of the United States of America. We don’t have a super PAC. We don’t want a super PAC.
According to Breitbart News, Sanders’ campaign brought in over $1 million in donations during last week’s debate.
Mayor Pete’s words ring truer than ever now that these socialists have weighed in: don’t issue purity tests you yourself can’t pass!
