BANG! Black Friday Gun Sales Challenge All-Time Record

(Tea Party PAC) – Ever since COVID started in the US it’s become increasingly clear that Americans are becoming more skeptical of the federal government.

That skepticism doesn’t seem to be waning.

This year, Black Friday proved that as gun sales were through the roof. The Washington Examiner reports that last Friday was the third-best day for gun sales ever and the FBI recorded 192,749 background checks.

It’s pretty common for Black Friday to bring about the best gun sales of the year but it sure is telling that the best gun sales on Black Friday have come in recent years.

This year’s sales are only beaten by Black Friday gun sales from 2017 and 2019.

FBI background checks are “the best way to figure gun sales” the Examiner writes. Between just the Black Friday sales from 2017, 2019, and 2022, the FBI conducted nearly 600,000 background checks.

The industry’s representative, the National Shooting Sports Foundation, explains, however, that the FBI background checks don’t show sales on a 1 to 1 basis, “The NICS checks are unadjusted, representing raw data from the FBI and are inclusive of all background checks related to firearms.”

They don’t show the number of guns purchased per background check but the numbers are still incredibly impressive considering gun sales have been steadily at record numbers since 2016.

“Background checks for firearm purchases were already trending to make 2022 the third strongest year on record, coming off of the outsized years of 2020 and 2021,” said Joe Bartozzi, NSSF president and CEO. “These figures tell us that there is a continued strong appetite for lawful firearm ownership by law-abiding Americans and that firearm manufacturers across the country continue to deliver the quality firearms our customers have come to expect,” he added in releasing the numbers.

It’s typical for gun sales to rise during hunting season and prior to Christmas.

“This year’s Black Friday marked an all-time record for us, which I like to think is due to our promotional efforts, but the market is definitely speaking,” said Justin Anderson, the marketing director of Hyatt Guns in Charlotte, North Carolina, one of the nation’s largest sellers.

“We’re seeing an upturn in business across the board. We’re also seeing growth in a few categories that have been stagnant for several years, including hunting and long range shooting. I’m projecting a record December that may match or even exceed our pandemic sales levels,” added Anderson.

NSSF said that for all of last week, there were 711,372 instant background checks.

Whenever Joe Biden and the Democrats threaten to crack down on the rights of American citizens to legally own firearms, the American people respond by buying more firearms.

Once again, Biden threatened to ban the sales of the most popular types of firearms, semi-automatic pistols and modern sporting rifles, after the recent mass shooting in Colorado.

Biden has repeatedly made the assertion that Americans don’t need high-capacity firearms for hunting deer but it’s clear hunting deer is not the only reason Americans are buying firearms in record numbers.

A tyrannical government that is desperate to strip us of our Second Amendment rights is a big motivation for many Americans.

Gun stores have reported that Biden’s threats and mass shootings have boosted sales to women and minorities who are worried about their personal safety.

On top of that, public support for gun laws has deteriorated in recent years and concealed carry permits have surged past 20 million.

Americans can see what’s happened in places like Australia where citizens gave up their rights to own firearms. We aren’t stupid.
