Charles Barkley Takes Massive Heat For Breonna Taylor Comments; Here’s What He Said

(Tea Party PAC) – Legendary basketball player Charles Barkley is getting raked over the coals after he made some rather controversial comments concerning the shooting death of Breonna Taylor.

The Kentucky attorney general announced earlier this week that police officers who were involved in the incident would not be charged with her death. This, predictably, fired up the Marxists in the Black Lives Matter movement who have once again launched into another spate of rioting, looting, and burning stuff.

A video recently released by authorities shows wounded officers involved in the shooting firing back in self-defense, thus these individuals were simply protecting themselves from Taylor’s boyfriend. It’s unfortunate she was hit in the process, but this wasn’t an intentional act of malice.

Of course, facts don’t matter to Democrats and liberals. All that matters is emotions. And beating Trump.

Via Newsmax:

“It’s bad this young lady lost her life,” Barkley said of Taylor. “But we do have to take into account that her boyfriend did shoot at the cops and shot a cop. So, like I say, even though I am really sorry she lost her life, I don’t think we can just say we can put this in the same situation as George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery. I just don’t believe that.”

His remarks came on the TNT pregame show for the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets Western Conference Finals game. He also disagreed with calls to defund the police, saying it would have a major impact on Black communities.

“I’m like, wait a minute, who are Black people supposed to call, Ghostbusters?” he said.

The Hollywood Reporter noted that Barkley was blasted on social media after he appeared, to some, to defend the police officers involved in Taylor’s death.

Isn’t it sad that you can’t have an opinion this day and age that goes against majority thought without making people angry and want to “cancel” you? The whole thing behind “cancel culture” is stupid to begin with and sounds absolutely childish, but that’s beside the point. Silencing someone’s freedom of speech, shaming them for having a take on an issue different from yours is ridiculous in America.

“I didn’t know I could be this disgusted by Charles Barkley,” Democrat strategist Adam Parkhomenko tweeted, along with others who expressed similar views.

But basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal agreed with Barkley on the Taylor shooting, according to Yahoo Sports.

“I have to agree with Charles, this one is sort of lumped in,” O’Neal said.

On Wednesday, a Kentucky grand jury indicted a single police officer for shooting into neighboring apartments but did not bring any charges against any officers for their role in Taylor’s death.

At the end of the day, folks need to look objectively at the evidence that’s been presented in this case and make a decision based on the facts, not on their emotions. Yes, it’s tragic and horrible Taylor was shot and killed. Beyond words to describe. However, there are also consequences for your actions, including who you choose to associate with.

Taylor’s boyfriend was a dangerous man. He brought this down on himself and she paid the price for it. It’s a painful reminder that our actions don’t just impact us, but others around us as well.

  1. Charles Barkley Glad to see you stood up an spoke the truth! Sorry she lost her life, but when you stand in front of your boyfriend which just shot past you to hit the cops, do not believe they will wait to return fire! Sorry she was killed, but her boyfriend put her in that place not the police! As to the De-funding the police it is an Oxy-Moron! Those which can not afford there own police force will eventfully be prey to the thugs with no means to protect themselves!

  2. Charles Barkley just stated the truth, the BLM movement can’t riot every time they disagree with a verdict. This tears down society and affects all lives. I think that the police have a very difficult job, and I do think there needs to be reform, but not the violence that Antifa and BLM have perpetrated. Body cams and training should be a must. We rely on the police for our safety, they go out and put their lives on the line daily for us.

  3. Charles Barkly is an intelligent Man, he sees the fact that the situation would be very different if her boyfriend wouldn’t have opened fire on the police

    • Reply to JusticeforTrump: I’m not sure I understand your reply. But I’ll say this: BLM says that no live matter til black lives matter. All lives already DO matter! Also this: when’s the last time we saw a riot, a demonstration, or even a little bitty protest about an “unarmed white man” being killed by police? Slight disparity there, right?

    • Sheryl, it’s clear, read what I wrote. BLM is an organization started by women, simply because of the violence and racism that exists in this country. No innocent person should be killed by anyone, by a cop or a citizen. Some of these killings were done by bad cops and vigilantes like the father and son in Georgia and George Zimmerman who killed the Martin kid in Florida. I don’t hear about innocent white people killed by cops, it must happen but certainly not as often.

  4. She lived WITH a CRIMINAL and she DIED as a CRIMINAL . . . This is what happens when you spend time with BAD company. Casualties HAPPEN. STAY AWAY from the CRIMINAL element, unless you are LAW ENFORCEMENT. One Wary Patriot. Team Trump and his allies 2020.

  5. I stand firmly with the police officers who were fired upon and Charles Barkley for defending them. When police officers are discharging their duty and are attacked, they are well within their rights to use such force as is necessary to protect themselves. This knee jerk arm chair quarterbacking by violent radical libturd communist activists not only endangers the rule of law but also weakens the fabric of our society by condoning criminal activity. Criminals must be dealt with swiftly and harshly or we all are at risk of being their next victim. Thank you Charles for standing for the rule of law and police officers who are attempting to keep the citizenry safe from violent criminals!

  6. why was Breonna Taylor living w/ her boyfriend, a drug lord? She got caught in the crossfire of a police shooting who kocked & entered her apartment w/ a warrent for the boyfriend. the boyfriend opened fire on the police officers first. Breonna got hit several times while standing in the hallway during the was an accident not a murder.

    • Right on Mary – she knew the kind of person she was living with. So it would be understood once the legal system catches up with the criminals. It does not go well for them, an those which chose to live among them will get caught up with them.
