(Tea Party PAC) – Legendary basketball player Charles Barkley is getting raked over the coals after he made some rather controversial comments concerning the shooting death of Breonna Taylor.
The Kentucky attorney general announced earlier this week that police officers who were involved in the incident would not be charged with her death. This, predictably, fired up the Marxists in the Black Lives Matter movement who have once again launched into another spate of rioting, looting, and burning stuff.
A video recently released by authorities shows wounded officers involved in the shooting firing back in self-defense, thus these individuals were simply protecting themselves from Taylor’s boyfriend. It’s unfortunate she was hit in the process, but this wasn’t an intentional act of malice.
Of course, facts don’t matter to Democrats and liberals. All that matters is emotions. And beating Trump.
“It’s bad this young lady lost her life,” Barkley said of Taylor. “But we do have to take into account that her boyfriend did shoot at the cops and shot a cop. So, like I say, even though I am really sorry she lost her life, I don’t think we can just say we can put this in the same situation as George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery. I just don’t believe that.”
His remarks came on the TNT pregame show for the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets Western Conference Finals game. He also disagreed with calls to defund the police, saying it would have a major impact on Black communities.
“I’m like, wait a minute, who are Black people supposed to call, Ghostbusters?” he said.
The Hollywood Reporter noted that Barkley was blasted on social media after he appeared, to some, to defend the police officers involved in Taylor’s death.
Isn’t it sad that you can’t have an opinion this day and age that goes against majority thought without making people angry and want to “cancel” you? The whole thing behind “cancel culture” is stupid to begin with and sounds absolutely childish, but that’s beside the point. Silencing someone’s freedom of speech, shaming them for having a take on an issue different from yours is ridiculous in America.
“I didn’t know I could be this disgusted by Charles Barkley,” Democrat strategist Adam Parkhomenko tweeted, along with others who expressed similar views.
But basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal agreed with Barkley on the Taylor shooting, according to Yahoo Sports.
“I have to agree with Charles, this one is sort of lumped in,” O’Neal said.
Charles Barkley nuked the idea of defunding and abolishing the police. He CORRECTLY pointed out that fewer police doesn't make black people safer. It's more dangerous.

On Wednesday, a Kentucky grand jury indicted a single police officer for shooting into neighboring apartments but did not bring any charges against any officers for their role in Taylor’s death.
At the end of the day, folks need to look objectively at the evidence that’s been presented in this case and make a decision based on the facts, not on their emotions. Yes, it’s tragic and horrible Taylor was shot and killed. Beyond words to describe. However, there are also consequences for your actions, including who you choose to associate with.
Taylor’s boyfriend was a dangerous man. He brought this down on himself and she paid the price for it. It’s a painful reminder that our actions don’t just impact us, but others around us as well.
