Check Out This Ridiculous Take On Trump Voters By ‘Star Trek’ Actor George Takei; Try Not To Roll Your Eyes

(Tea Party PAC) – Actor George Takei, most well known for his role on the original “Star Trek” series has not at all been shy about taking to social media, particularly Twitter, to share many of his political leanings, which as you probably already know by now, are extremely liberal and anti-Trump.

Takei recently decided to point the finger at folks who support President Donald Trump by saying that folks who vote for him and get behind him are destroying America, stating it’s a “tragedy of enormous scope.”

Here’s more on this from Breitbart:

Star Trek actor George Takei is accusing people who voted for and still support President Donald Trump of helping to destroy America, calling it a “tragedy of enormous scope.”

The left-wing Hollywood star tweeted late Sunday that Trump supporters are completely ignorant of their destructive powers.

“The thing about Trump voters is that they do not even realize they are enabling the desolation of our Republic,” George Takei said. “They somehow think they are preserving America, but in fact they are helping destroy it. And that is a tragedy of enormous scope.”

The thing about Trump voters is that they do not even realize they are enabling the desolation of our Republic. They somehow think they are preserving America, but in fact they are helping destroy it. And that is a tragedy of enormous scope.

Takei, 82, has repeatedly used Twitter to lash out at President Trump and his administration’s policies, especially border enforcement. But this is the actor’s most direct insult to Trump supporters to date.

In August, the actor told The Huffington Post that the “level of cruelty and evil” carried out by the Trump administration has fallen to a “grotesque low” because of separations of adults from children at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Takei once compared the enforcement of border security to “slavery,” describing it as “barbaric.”

Takei came under fire in 2017 for an interview with Howard Stern in which the actor joked about sexually assaulting men.

“Many have raised concern over a back-and-forth between Howard Stern and myself, where we joked about me touching men during my ‘Star Trek’ days 50 years ago. Out of context, I agree that the joke was distasteful, and I’m very sorry he and I made fun out of a serious matter,” Takei wrote in a Facebook post.

Takei was accused last year of sexual misconduct by a man who claimed that the actor groped him decades ago. While some reports said that the accuser walked back his story, the alleged victim has stated that he stands by his allegations.

The accusations about Takei participating in sexual misconduct just go to show you the hypocrisy at the core of the liberal worldview. It’s not wrong to assault someone with unwanted advances if you have a left-wing belief system. It’s only bad if you’re a conservative person or you don’t absolutely loathe Donald Trump.

It’s ridiculous to say the least. What’s more disturbing is how the liberal movement as a whole seems to not have a problem with this hypocrisy, completely ignoring it and doing little to correct it in the mean time.

Sad to see our culture rotting from the inside out like that.

  1. “George Takei / left-wing Hollywood star ” — Pretty much sums up his rantings. The old fart is 82, he probably has trouble finding his teeth in the morning. Why do all these Hollywood types insist on their liberal views. Oh I know they can’t think for themselves, they can only read from a script that was prepared for them. They have no concept what it’s like to work for a living and budget money to survive week by week. I thank God none of them are close enough to my residence that I might have to interact with any of them.

  2. Lefties, Liberals, Democrats, Actors, Teachers, and Media Persons:
Please help me by lending me your ears.
Will your hearts and minds follow?
    I’m conservative.
Your perception and opinion of Trump don’t align with mine.
    Our leanings conflict.
    Who’s wrong?
    Can we both be right?
    Can either of us change?
    Will we?
You see a monster who threatens America, and the planet.
I see a savior who’s restoring the preëminence of the American Way (Meritocracy, Freedom, Capitalism, and Christianity) and of its Constitution.
    Who’s wrong?
We both express our views with big words:
”Trump voters … are enabling the desolation of our Republic,”
Destroying America is a “tragedy of enormous scope,”
Border enforcement is “slavery” and “barbaric.”
I had similar misgivings about the former president.
He grew government above the individual.
He favored globalism over the Republic.
He favored socialism over meritocracy and capitalism.
He took part in, even led, many scandals that the Fourth Estate ignored or underplayed.
Like George Takei, I just made big statements. Assertions.
But I offered no proof. Like George.
    Can he?
    Can I?
Will you accept, or even consider my proof?
    Will I yours?
We both profess benevolence for America and for our fellow man.
But which side backs up the wish with action?
    Which president did?
Is Trump destroying the Republic, or restoring it?
Is Capitalism destroying the Planet, or providing the most for the many —even for the lost and the lazy?
Is Judeo-Christian tolerance and wisdom the hope of the world, or is jihad the way forward?
    I’m conservative.
You might gape and gasp that I share your ideals.
Like you, I too want clean air, water, and earth. I too love babies, animals, innocence, and the future.
But I don’t commandeer idealism. It’s not mine. It’s not yours. It belongs to us all.
    And I’m practical.
I voted for Trump, and will again, because he is too.
When he became the president, he didn’t undertake a world tour to apologize for America. He didn’t dictate the American economy through a series of executive decrees. He didn’t import subversives and those who won’t acclimate.
No, Trump is patriotic. Far from undermining the Republic, he’s undergirding it.
He’s struggling with China to do so, With Europe. With George Takei and with all his fellows.
    With you?
    Whose side are you on?
Who serves America best? (The Big A America, the one that belongs to the world, the one that explains why people flock here.)
Those who will reëlect him, or those who favored his impeachment even before his inauguration?
    Trump or Takei?
Can you put aside Trump’s personality to see the good he’s doing?
    For us all.
    For America.
    For the world.
    If you can’t, please explain.

  3. The true enormous tragedy is the fact that Takei has turned out to be the most humongous disappointment from the original Star Trek era Hollyweird actors.

  4. Why would anyone give a dam about what this senile has been thinks? And why would any sensible organization print what he thinks?

  5. Who cares what this guy says. The problem with uber Liberals is that they don’t consider that they could be wrong–and if they are, it can’t be fixed.

  6. It’s true. The economy is really strong and unemployment is low. But that was also true under Clinton and Regan who had pretty different policies. Under Obama between 2009 and 2016 it was growing in a similar trajectory. Presidents and Congress LOVE to take credit for booms and then during busts it’s someone else’s fault. It doesn’t seem to be very historically correlated.

I don’t think Trump is ruining America… It’s too strong for any President to do that thanks to our founders setting things up pretty well.

But Trump (correctly) criticized Obama for running huge deficits and playing golf while problems were happening. But he’s running even BIGGER deficits and playing even more golf. Running massive deficits during a boom seems like a bad idea. It’s like if I get a huge raise at work and then go ahead and max my credit cards. Just doesn’t make sense. But that’s also kinda how Trump ran his businesses. Huge debt and then just declare bankruptcy. Of course EVERY president has raised the debt for decades so that’s just expected behavior. What happened to fiscal discipline? Why did that criticism stop?

He also doesn’t seem to be unable to admit he’s wrong even when he goes on these off script long meandering talks (like the last one on wind). It’s good to be skeptical about stuff like wind energy but what he said made no sense. He also demands loyalty and then throws his own people under the bus or fires them when it looks they disagree. Regan and Bush didn’t do that.. it shows pretty bad character imo. I don’t think you can talk about how great people are one day and then turn around and claim to not know them, say they are idiots, etc.

He also acts like a school yard bully calling people silly names and insulting them. That’s been true since the GOP primaries and it’s just crappy behavior. I wouldn’t let my 5 year old talk to people that way. Then there’s the fact that he pretty much cheated on all of his wives, lied about it, paid to have it covered up. Sure Clinton and Kennedy did the same thing but it makes it hard to claim moral high ground. I expect more from the party that values family and faith so much :(. Seems like we could demand more from our politicians.

I don’t think any politician should unwavering support. People should be skeptical of everyone in power. There’s way too much emotional manipulation to get the average person to engage in trench warfare for the benefit of powerful interests and that’s true on all sides of the political spectrum.

    • Karl, Most of what you said should be directed at ole “Joe Biden. I guess you just don’t appreciate that we actually have a leader now that has followed through on his campaign promises. lowest unemployment in how many years, bringing big businesses back to America, creating so many jobs, we finally have some fair trade deals that no other president seemed to be able to do. Can you say that about any Dem in office in recent years? When will people like you educate yourselves about how politics work.

  7. Mr. Takei is like many left-wing types that think that because they are good at one thing then they are good at everything. Frankly, I don’t think that he was that good as an actor, which makes his attempted bully-pulpit position even more untenable. America’s economy hums along with the lowest unemployment in years and the tax rates are reduced; these are just two of the things that OUR President has done for us. If he is not your president, Mr. Takei, then why not take your attitudes and go live somewhere else where they would be more appreciated.

  8. None of the elite ever give any specifics because their argument is so empty. It really is just a ball of emotions which proves how lacking in thought or intelligence these people are.

    • Don D, will I see that you continued to copy and paste your drawn out comment when I scroll through the page?

  10. Extremely well said brother.
Millions of true Americans are down with that.
On the contrary, you and your mindless minions are a pox on this country.

Ps/ leave the kids alone Spaceballs.

  11. We’re getting close to the 2020 Presidential election. That’s when the paid liberal trolls come out of the woodwork to post inane leftist propaganda, such as Trump is the devil incarnate and only the rich have benefitted from his tax cuts. The truth is Trump has undone Obama’s anti-America edicts, executive orders and laws and has millions of Obama-era unemployed welfare and food stamp recipients back to work and contributing to society. Our military is once again number one in the world and the Obama shackles have been removed so they can once again protect themselves and Americans. The swamp is slowly being drained. Despite the media, Hollywood, and virtually every talk and news show being devoted to demonizing the President on a daily basis, the truth seeps out and the left has been unmasked as the most corrupt, deceitful bunch of criminals, thugs and bullies this country has ever seen. Take away voter fraud and the 2020 Presidential election will be the most lopsided bloodbath America has ever witnessed.

  12. This old has-been pervert actor, like many in that Hollywood culture, think their position and opinions on world affairs are important and necessary and that people want to hear them. Not! But unfortunately the leftist media eagerly obliges them with a platform to do so.
Call them Leftist, socialists, Democrats whatever, they’re all anti-American.
They aren’t constrained by truth or facts.
The Hate Trump syndrome in all its evil, has completely taken them over mind, soul and body. They’re Liberal Zombies.
Fanatically following the Democrat party line.
    Nothing will shut them up.
But vote Trump and for those other conservative, America First, believers in the Constitution candidates for legislative offices, and we have a chance to continue to bask in the freedoms and privileges promised by that same Constitution- in spite of these home grown anti-America liberal terrorists.

    • Maybe when they beamed this Idiot up they left some of his brains back on the set, so why don’t this has been go crawl back under the rock he came from and take time to veg out.

  13. To Wilbur ( the talking horse’s ass -pun intended 😂 ! ) what a LAME ATTEMPT to blame the greatest president EVER.. D.J. TRUMP for our national debt figures!!! —if you would get your head out of your ass then you would KNOW WHY it is what it is . It’s because he’s having to rebuild our MILITARY (only one of many things) that Ollama let go to pot – And ALSO if you actually worked- yes at a BLUE COLLAR JOB , YOU ACTUALLY GOT YOUR TAXES REDUCED and brought home more $ !!!! Once AGAIN get your head out of your ass and you would know these facts !!! Ignorance has been proven to be Dangerous – and at this point in time, You are considered Dangerous…Wilbur

  14. Never did like that queer Takei anyway, but insofar as what he said about Trump supporters is concerned, he’s absolutely right.

  15. Where was all this when President Obama a Democrat did far worst to illegal immigrants. I would consider their complaints if it had started when Democrats were in charge but now no it’s a little to late for their opinions.

  16. Like many Democrats,Takie makes the claim that Republicans are out to destroy America and this is a “tragedy of enormous scope!” Nice claim on his part but, like most false news, it has no depth or proof to support itself. Rantings and ravings, no matter how many times the claim is made, is not proof of anything. So, rant on Takie if you must! But, America is growing daily in support of President Trump irrespective of your delusions to the contrary. 2020+Trump=National Victory for America!

    • Are you trying to say that the story is not accurate? That he did not make those statements and that the Twitter post is fictitious? BTW, the reason that Breitbart makes Fox look respectable is that they are. They both are.

  17. More irrational “Trump Derangement Syndrome” on display
Why does anyone care what an aging actor who read his lines well 50 years ago has to say about anything except perhaps “acting”

  18. Wasn’t his family some of the same nationality citizens that were incarcerated by Roosevelt during WWll in concentration camps by the leftist president.

    • Yes, his mother and father were sent to an internment camp by Democratic President Franklin Roosevelt, so how ironic that he would now be criticizing a Republican President.

  19. Takei t (take it) and shove it up you know where!!! Trump voters are sane and straight voters who know a good thing when they see it. You on the contrary, are being fed bs from the Dimwit party and you blindly believe it and follow it. Show me and America how President Trump is destroying America. The last time I checked the economy is doing great, unemployment is at it’s lowest rate in years, your tax rate has been lowered by Trump, And if you stop reading CNN you will notice that the SMS media is full of fake news. So, give us examples of how America is being destroyed by Trump. I’ll wait, I am retired and have plenty of time.

    • If your tax rate was lowered by Trump, Comrade, is because you are millionaire. Those of us who really work must bear heavy burden of taxes. under Trump, national debt has skyrocketed. where is Tea Potty for all of this? They blared incessantly under Obama. Now they just simper and fawn.
