(Tea Party PAC) – In all the chaos of the last few months and the mind-numbing frustrations of the left’s politicization of the pandemic, the issue as to the origins of this world-changing virus has been pushed to the back burner.
You may recall, however, that there was rather a well-substantiated theory that, rather than spring up spontaneously in the Wuhan wet market, where creatures like bats were sold for human consumption, as the Chinese Communist Party claimed, that it may have leaked from a lab.
After all, the Wuhan Institute of Virology is just a stone’s throw from the very same wet market.
Where they just so happen to have been studying coronaviruses.
Oh, and they were using funding from the Obama administration to do so. Weird, huh?
What a coincidence.
This week, however, the issue of the virus’ origin may receive new attention, as a Chinese virologist who has been in hiding claims to have proof that the virus did, indeed, leak from a lab and that it was man-made.
The New York Post reports that Dr. Li-Meng Yan made these comments while being interviewed Friday by the British talk show “Loose Women.”
When asked where the deadly virus that has killed more than 900,000 around the globe comes from, Yan — speaking via video chat from a secret location — replied, “It comes from the lab — the lab in Wuhan and the lab is controlled by China’s government.”
She insisted that widespread reports that the virus originated last year from a wet market in Wuhan, China, are “a smokescreen.”
“The first thing is the [meat] market in Wuhan … is a smokescreen and this virus is not from nature,” Yan claimed, explaining that she got “her intelligence from the CDC in China, from the local doctors.”
The virologist has previously accused Beijing of lying about when it learned of the killer bug and engaging in an extensive cover-up of her work.
She had said that her former supervisors at the Hong Kong School of Public Health, a reference laboratory for the World Health Organization, silenced her when she sounded the alarm about human-to-human transmission in December last year.
Yan reportedly fled Hong Kong in April, managing to escape to America.
She has been trying to raise awareness about the truth of the pandemic ever since.
This is certainly an explosive revelation. We can’t make any claims either way as to why the virus may have leaked from a lab, but it really is amazing that, in the final year of President Donald Trump’s first term, ahead of the crucial election that will determine if he will have a second, the pandemic brought about the economic recession Democrats had practically been openly hoping for to give them even the slightest edge over the Trump administration in the election.
Really weird timing.
Don’t you think?
