(Tea Party PAC) – During the Wednesday edition of CNN’s “At This Hour,” CNN political commentator Angela Rye decided to take a massive shot at evangelical Christians for supporting President Trump, stating that “nothing about Christ’s Words” align with him or his policies.
This, of course, isn’t true. There’s quite a few instances where Trump has done things that would line up with Scripture. Does that mean he’s an authentic believer? That is not a matter we can ever know for sure about anyone. We can know a person by the fruit they bear in their lives, sure, but still, even then we cannot know for certain.
At the end of the day, it’s not just about whether or not Trump is a legitimate Christian but if what he’s doing is ethical and good for the country, which is something the folks at CNN just can’t seem to understand.
Here’s more from Breitbart:
Rye was discussing acting director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Ken Cuccinelli changing the words of the poem “The New Colossus” by Emma Lazarus at the base of the Statue of Liberty to, “Give me your tired and your poor who can stand on their own two feet and who will not become a public charge,” during an interview with NPR.
Rye said, “Emma Lazarus, so of course that brings me to the Bible. I think about, you know, the God that I serve. You know we see all of this evangelical support for Donald Trump and I wonder what Bible are they reading? There are some Bibles that have Jesus’ words in red print. There’s nothing about Christ’s words that are in alignment with the policy of limitation we see from this administration.”

Evangelicals are supportive of President Trump because he isn’t actively seeking to destroy their way of life the way that the vast majority of liberal Democrats are, therefore, for a large swath of Christians across America, the vote for Trump is a vote for self-preservation.
Our way of life was built on a foundation laid out from biblical principles. Freedom is for a moral and just people, which means that unless you have an objective standard of right and wrong to base your laws and conduct on, then you cannot have liberty.
The only truly objective standard of right and wrong we can have, then, must come from the hand of an all-powerful, all-knowing God. He gave us this standard in the Bible. Our founders recognized this and made these principles the blueprint for our nation.
The left has been on the warpath for decades to destroy that foundation and usurp power for themselves, and would’ve done irreparable damage had Hillary Clinton been elected, thus the evangelicals voted Trump.
It’s really that simple.
