(Tea Party PAC) – Is this what it is coming to? Build the wall!
Texas police have lined up their vehicles near Eagle Pass, Texas, to help Border Patrol agents stop the flow of aliens who traveled from Central America as part of the latest migrant caravan.
The caravan arrived in the Mexican border town of Piedras Negras last week, and Governor Greg Abbot deployed an additional Department of Public Safety troopers to the region to help secure the border, which has no physical barriers.
“Texans ask: what’s going on at Eagle Pass?” Governor Abbott tweeted. His tweet included a photo of several DPS vehicles lined up along with Border Patrol vehicles along the Rio Grande River near the border community.
Anna Giaritelli of the DC Examiner tweeted a video of a long line of police vehicles that made up a “show of force” to warn the migrant caravan against crossing illegally.
Texans ask: what’s going on at Eagle Pass? Below is a picture & statement showing that TX Dept. of Public Safety is on top of it. As part of our border security plan we keep DPS on the border with boats & planes. They work with local & federal authorities to enforce the law. pic.twitter.com/R4m0K11jLf

Before this latest caravan of nearly 2,000 Central American migrants arrived last week, the Del Rio Sector had already seen a 364 percent increase in the number of migrant family apprehensions. Eagle Pass is part of the Del Rio Sector.
There were 712 migrant family apprehensions in the sector in the first four months of Fiscal Year 2018, compared to 3,307 in the first four months of Fiscal Year 2019.
Unaccompanied minor apprehensions also jumped by 66 percent this year, according to the Southwest Border Migration report released late last week.
