First Media Death From COVID-19? Things Are Getting Real

(Tea Party PAC) – Coronavirus knows no person.

It is affecting the wealthy and the poor, the famous and the average, Republican and Democrat, politicians and members of the media alike.

According to an NBC News memo published by the Daily Beast on Friday morning, one of their employees as died from the Chinese coronavirus.

NBC Chairman Andy Lack told staffers that Larry Edgeworth (top left), an audio technician, is their first staffer to succumb from the global pandemic.

He referred to Edgeworth as a “longtime member of our NBC News family.”

According to Lack, like many who have died after contracting the coronavirus, Edgeworth had “suffered from other health issues that led him to succumb to the illness.”

“Many of you were fortunate enough to work with Larry over the years, so you know that he was the guy you wanted by your side no matter where you were,” lack wrote to his employees. “Stacy Brady says he was known as the ‘gentle giant who would give you the shirt off his back.’”

Breitbart notes:

Edgeworth’s passing comes as some of NBC’s biggest stars, such as Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, and Craig Melvin, have been working from home after a Today show staffer working at its headquarters at 30 Rockefeller Plaza contracted the illness.

Last week, the CBS News Broadcast Center in New York shut down for cleaning after the network confirmed its first coronavirus case.

As of Friday afternoon, there had been 210 deaths due to the coronavirus in the United States and a total of 16,018 cases.

It’s disturbing to see the cases of death continue to uptick here at home, but according to a recent report from WND, the rate is actually decreasing according to some data:

While coronavirus cases have increased in the past two weeks, the mortality rate has declined, pointed out veteran Fox News analyst Brit Hume.

He retweeted a day-by-day list of the number of cases reported compared to the number of deaths. It showed a drop in the mortality rate from 4.06% on March 8 to 1.84% on March 15.

“It will likely decline even further if and when those without symptoms can be diagnosed and counted,” Hume wrote on March 16.

According to the Worldometer site, the latest global count is 266,208 known coronavirus cases, 11,187 deaths and 90,603 recoveries.

In the United States, it’s 16,517 cases, 225 deaths and 125 recoveries.

That’s a mortality rate of 1.3%.

The count from March 8 to 15:

4.06% March 8 (22 deaths of 541 cases)

3.69% March 9 (26 of 704)

3.01% March 10 (30 of 994)

2.95% March 11 (38 of 1,295)

2.52% March 12 (42 of 1,695)

2.27% March 13 (49 of 2,247)

1.93% March 14 (57 of 2,954)

1.84% March 15 (68 of 3,680)

  1. May GOD grant mercy and grace to this man’s loved ones and friends. One would think this death would make those in the media stop being Democrap’s cheerleaders but it won’t. The MORON MEDIA still tries to make Trump look bad instead of telling America the good things Trump is doing at this time.

  2. The lose of the life of the media member should be a wake up call for the rest of the media. YOU ARE NOT IMMUNE TO THE VIRUS so wake up and report the truth instead of making up things about what someone has said in a news conference.

God Bless Larry and may the lord be with his family during this tragic time.
