(Tea Party PAC) – For years now, whenever there has been someone of color who has died at the hands of a white individual, particularly a police officer, the go-to response is to riot, loot, burn down cities, and tear down statues that represent anyone these individuals decide is “racist,” whether they actually were or not.
Many have wondered how long it would be before radicals in Black Lives Matter and other race related activist groups demanded churches be torn down too. Well, it looks like that day might be rapidly approaching, which is something a lot of folks thought could never happen here in the United States.
Left-wing activist Shaun King recently called for all statues of Jesus that portray him as a “white European” to be torn down. The reason for the request? The statues are a “form of white supremacy.”
Skin color and racism is all these folks tend to think about. It’s an obsession. A very unhealthy one.
Here’s more from Breitbart:
“Yes, I think the statues of the white European they claim is Jesus should also come down,” wrote King, a self-described black man whose family says he is white. “They are a form of white supremacy. Always have been. In the Bible, when the family of Jesus wanted to hide, and blend in, guess where they went? EGYPT! Not Denmark. Tear them down.”
All murals and stained glass windows of white Jesus, and his European mother, and their white friends should also come down.
They are a gross form white supremacy.
Created as tools of oppression.
They should all come down.

“Yes. All murals and stained glass windows of white Jesus, and his European mother, and their white friends should also come down,” he continued, reported Fox News. “They are a gross form white supremacy. Created as tools of oppression. Racist propaganda. They should all come down.”
Since 2015, King has claimed the Christian celebrations of Christmas and Easter are “tools of white supremacy.”
The activist, who starred as an official surrogate in a political ad released by Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) former presidential campaign, has described himself in many ways: a journalist, activist against racism, and a “civil rights activist” in Sanders’ ad, in particular.
While King is currently tweeting his remarks about statues of Jesus as violent mobs fueled by Black Lives Matter and Antifa are tearing down historical monuments, he himself was ejected from the Black Lives Matter movement by its leaders in December 2015 over questions about the “integrity” of activist fundraising.
King also received a scholarship from Oprah Winfrey to attend Morehouse College, a historically black school, and then denied lying about his race when he applied for the grant.
Guys, these people are totally wacked in the head. They won’t stop until everything that could possibly contain any sort of whiteness is wiped from the face of the earth. This is not the solution to racism. Not at all.
King has a point about the whiteness of Jesus in one regard. Jesus was not white. He was from the Middle East. This is a fact. It might upset some folks to think about this, but it’s true. Thus, any artwork depicting him as white and European is not accurate. Does that mean works of art should be destroyed due to a lack of accuracy? Of course not. It means art going forward should strive to be more accurate to the truth.
We don’t need to destroy history. Instead, let us embrace the full truth that history has to offer. Let’s take history and interpret it in light of the proper context and in reality. People are more than just their faults and failures. In fact, people are complex. Why not just use art and statues as a teaching opportunity instead of demanding its destruction?
Why is King and others like him so bent on destroying things they disagree with?
Will we ever get an answer to the question?
