Former Clinton State Department Official Sentenced For Up To 40 Months In Prison For Conspiring With Chinese Agents

(Tea Party PAC) – On Tuesday, Candace Marie Clairborne (pictured below) broke down in tears as she was sentenced to 40 months in prison for conspiring with foreign agents.

US District Court Judge Randolph Moss, an Obama appointee, said “sentencing is never easy,” also saying, however, that Claiborne’s crime, “a truly grave offense, a betrayal of her employer and a betrayal of her country” before handing down the 40 month sentence to a DC prison, Fox News reported.

“I still don’t know how I lost myself,” Clairborne said.

She added, through tears, “I want to apologize to the government… and my family for what I have done.”

In April, the Department of Justice announced that a former State Department employee, a Clinton appointee as it happened, had pled guilty to conspiring with foreign agents.

Candace Marie Claiborne was arrested by the FBI on March 28th, 2017. Her first appearance in the US District Court for the District of Columbia was the following day.

Claiborne, according to the DOJ, a former State Department employee, pled guilty in April to a charge of conspiracy to defraud the United States, lying to law enforcement and background investigators, and hiding her extensive contacts with as well as gifts from the People’s Republic of China, which were given in exchange for internal documents from the US State Department.

Somehow, “I’m sorry” doesn’t quite cut it, lady.

This woman was given a TOP SECRET security clearance and used that to provide internal State Department documents to Chinese agents for the price of gifts and benefits.

This wasn’t just some accident, some one-time thoughtless mistake, as her apology to the court would have you believe.

In her journal, she wrote that she could “Generate 20k in 1 year” working with one of the agents from the PRC.

This agent, just after wiring Claiborne $2,480, tasked her with providing internal US government analyses on a US Sino Strategic Economic Dialogue that had just concluded.

Claiborne was well aware that these PRC agents were “spies,” as she confided as much in a co-conspirator.

She willfully misled State Department background investigators and FBI investigators about her contact with these agents, according to the plea documents.

After the State Department and FBI contacted Claiborne, she also instructed her co-conspirators to delete any evidence that linked her to the PRC agents, according to the DOJ.

Sound familiar?

The woman who appointed her–former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton–did something very similar.

So why isn’t she standing before a judge?
