(Tea Party PAC) – While the Democrats try to gaslight the American public daily about the nature of Trump’s extraordinary first term, the facts speak for themselves.
In spite of all the attacks, crooked plots, relentless negative media coverage, Trump has had a historic first term.
On Wednesday, news broke that President Donald Trump has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize.
This is all thanks to his work to reach the unprecedented peace agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
“I think he has done more trying to create peace between nations than most other Peace Prize nominees,” Norweigian Parliament member Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of the Norwegian Parliament, told Fox News after nominating the US president for the coveted prize.
The parliamentarian and chairman of the Norwegian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly explained in his letter nominating Trump that the agreement was a “game-changer” in the Middle East.
He believes that other nations will follow in the footsteps of the UAE and also open up relations with Israel.
Tybring-Gjedde also pointed to Trump’s key role in “creating new dynamics in other protracted conflicts, such as the Kashmir border dispute between India and Pakistan, and the conflict between North and South Korea, as well as dealing with the nuclear capabilities of North Korea.”
His letter also praised Trump for having withdrawn large numbers of troops from the Middle East.
Also on Wednesday, Trump and the Pentagon plan to announce another withdrawal of troops from Iraq, Newsmax notes.
“The administration is also expected to annouce the withdrawal of additional troops from Afghanistan in the coming days, a senior official said,” the outlet also notes.
Tybring-Gjedde, along with another Norwegian official, also nominated Trump in 2018 after the famous Singapore summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Needless to say, Trump did not win that time around.
Tybring-Gjedd told Fox that his nomination came in spite of not being a big personal fan of the president.
“The committee should look at the facts and judge him on the facts – not on the way he behaves sometimes,” he explained.
“The people who have received the Peace Prize in recent years have done much less than Donald Trump. For example, Barack Obama did nothing.”
Obama was awarded the prize in 2009 in a decision met with criticism from Trump, then a private citizen, and others worldwide.
Presidents Jimmy Carter, Theodore Roosevelt, and Woodrow Wilson also received the Nobel Peace Prize.
The recipient is decided by a five-person committee appointed by the Norwegian Parliament. The 2021 winner will not be announced until next October.
