(Tea Party PAC) – Social media platforms have absolutely no shame and most definitely no respect for civil discourse in America. Should you dare post anything that dissents from the leftist agenda your post will be censored and you could even find yourself blocked, banned, or suspended. Popular conservative personalities have found themselves de-platformed and demonetized simply for exercising their right to free speech.
While it can be argued that the Big Tech companies are private companies and therefore not restrained by the First Amendment the truth is technology has drastically changed the way in which information is given and received since the founding of America. When the majority of people are being influenced by what they read on Twitter and Facebook it’s imperative that new measures be considered in order for free speech be protected. If that means making new laws governing the way in which social media companies function so as to protect the very foundations of our democracy, it must be done.
President Trump has rocked the waves of social media after rebuking Twitter for censoring one of his posts suggesting that the Democrats will easily be able to commit massive scale voter fraud should the push for 100% mail-in voting be successful. He’s right and now it’s being reported that he’s taking things even further and is expected to issue an executive order addressing this issue that has been plaguing conservatives for years now.
The Blaze reports:
President Donald Trump is set to sign an executive order aimed at social media companies, according to a statement made on Wednesday to reporters.
White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany made the announcement to reporters during an Air Force One flight returning from Florida.
On the flight back to Washington, press secretary Kayleigh McEnany told reporters President Trump is going to sign some kind of executive order on social media. No further details appear to have been offered, but it comes after he lashed out over fact checks on his tweets.

No further details were offered about what the order might contain.
The president had warned that he would take action against Twitter, the popular social media platform, after it began labeling his tweets with a fact-check link for the first time on Tuesday.
Trump accused Twitter of attempting to interfere with the 2020 election and said that he would not allow that to happen under his watch.
“@Twitter is now interfering in the 2020 Presidential Election,” the president tweeted. “Twitter is completely stifling FREE SPEECH, and I, as President, will not allow it to happen!”
He’s right about that too. Twitter and all other social media platforms are most definitely attempting to interfere and influence the 2020 presidential election just like they tried in 2016.
The Blaze continues:
Democratic critics of the president have been clamoring for Twitter to censor or delete what they saw as misleading and dishonest tweets from the president’s Twitter account. Some, like Mika Brzezinski of MSNBC, called for the president to be banned from the platform.
The report indicated that Trump would sign the executive order on Thursday.
The president has over 80 million followers on Twitter alone.
There is a good reason why President Trump has over 80 million followers on Twitter and that would be because people trust him. Despite all his flaws, and he has many, Trump tells it like it is and he’s right to call out Big Tech. Their silencing of conservative voices and viewpoints has gone too far.
