(Tea Party PAC) – Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), Chair of the Homeland Security Committee, would like to add the names of Republican Senators Ted Cruz (TX) and Josh Hawley (MO) on the federal “No Fly” list because of what he claims they “participated in” last week.
Of course, Sens. Cruz and Hawley were sheltering in place when the Capitol Building was breached by violent protesters amid a massive “Stop the Steal” event on the hill.
They also firmly denounced the violence committed, but you know, who cares about words or their meaning when you’re a Democrat with some hysteria to whip up?
These people are working to treat all Trump supporters and their allies as literal terrorists, ostracized, persecuted, and banned this way and that for the next four years, it appears.
And they’ll blame us for being the only side responsible for “inciting” any violence the whole while.
During an appearance on The Joe Madison Show, Thompson explained his plans.
“There’s no question about it,” Thompson replied when asked if the GOP lawmakers should be placed on the no fly list over the events last week.
“First of all, these folks, in my opinion, can be classified as domestic terrorists because of the actions they participated in on Wednesday. Now under normal circumstances international terrorists are out on no-fly lists. These are domestic terrorists–same thing. A terrorist is a terrorist, no matter who you are.”
“There’s talk about liability for inciting this insurrection falling, maybe, in the laps of Senator Hawley and Senator Cruz and a member of Congress who may have Facetimed or led people to Pelosi’s office. If these folks are found liable, should they be on the no-fly list?” the host then asked the congressman.
He replied, “Well, there’s no question about it. There’s no exemption for being put on the no-fly list.”
And there you have it.
