(Tea Party PAC) – It’s not over ‘till it’s over, and it’s not over.
While the mainstream media would prefer you not to remember this, they’re not actually election officials and they do not have the power to declare the winner of an election.
Just to project it. State legislatures or the Electoral College make that final call, make no mistake.
The Democrats may have just set themselves up for a big, fat faceplant if the truth about the final vote tallies comes out.
And this is precisely what the Trump campaign is after.
On Saturday, the Epoch Times reports, the Trump campaign launched an effort to prompt a recount in key swing state of Wisconsin where something very fishy was definitely going on this week.
Both the Associated Press and the Decision Desk claim that, as Epoch Times notes, “has an approximately 21,000-vote lead over Trump in Wisconsin. Biden has 49.5 percent of the vote, while Trump has 48.9 percent.”
This is well within recount territory.
On Saturday, Justin Clark, the deputy campaign manager for the Trump 2020 campaign, announced that there were “irregularities” in the election process last Tuesday and that the team is “very concerned about what we’re hearing and seeing.”
“There were some serious irregularities on election day that we are looking into. We’ve already announced that we’re going to seek a statewide recount in Wisconsin, and we plan to do so,” Clark said in a statement, as the Washington Examiner reported. “We expect that the canvass, the initial canvass will be done Monday or Tuesday. And then that process will begin.”
Epoch Times explains that “Canvassing isn’t a recount, but it is the process where states can certify unofficial results—typically reported on by news outlets—and make the results official.”
“The purpose of the canvass is to account for every ballot cast and to ensure that each valid vote is included in the official election results. The canvass enables an election official to resolve discrepancies, correct errors, and take any remedial actions necessary to ensure completeness and accuracy before certifying the election,” the U.S. Election Assistance Commission’s website explains.
The Trump campaign has not conceded—nor should they.
We’ve been saying for months that this election was going to be a big, fat mess.
It’s hard not to feel that’s by design.
It was bad enough to try to scramble to make mail-in voting options more widely available amid the coronavirus outbreak, especially when, as fast food takeout windows and Walmart have shown us, it is possible to do things in person during a pandemic.
It was never about voting “safely.” It was always about convoluting the voting process and making room for “errors” that could determine the election.
Our election integrity has long been raising suspicions. It’s time we make sure that every legal vote is counted—and refuse to accept the results of the election until they are.
