(Tea Party PAC) – For some reason, Joe Biden thinks he can be President of the United States.
And considering millions of Americans recognize his name, the polls also declare that he has at, at the very least, tepid chance of getting the party nomination (although that’s cooling down by the day.)
The truth is, the Democrats couldn’t win the presidential election if they signed a deal with the devil–and there’s nothing to say they haven’t already.
Joe Biden, since he certainly can’t win on policies, charm, competence, righteousness, decency, health, or anything else he thinks he can rely on, he seems to be groping in the dark.
On Monday, Sleepy Joe said that he would consider picking a Republican running mate in 2020 if he wins the nomination.
He couldn’t actually think of anyone specific though.
“The answer is I would, but I can’t think of one now,” Mr. Biden said when asked by a voter at a campaign event in New Hampshire.
“No, I’m serious. … There’s some really decent Republicans that are out there still, but here’s the problem right now with the well-known ones: they’ve got to step up. You know what I mean?” he said. “I’m not being a wise guy.”
Biden also said that it would be “presumptuous” to be talking about running mates before securing the nomination. That sure is wise.
“Whomever I would pick for vice president — and there’s a lot of qualified women, there’s a lot of qualified African-Americans, there really, truly are … whomever I would pick were I fortunate enough to be your nominee, I’d pick someone who was simpatico with me, who knew what my priorities were and knew what I wanted to do,” Mr. Biden said.
The Washington Examiner notes that Biden “has talked up the notion that if President Trump is defeated in 2020, Republicans will be more willing to compromise and work with Democrats — a view critics on the left have dismissed as naive.”
Naive? Working with Republicans is exactly the opposite of what the left wants to do.
