(Tea Party PAC) – Joe Biden seems to have a knack for picking the most controversial and sketchy people possible for his potential administration.
On Monday, Joe Biden announced his selection of longtime Capitol Hill aide Reema Dodin (pictured above) as Deputy Director of the White House Office of Legislative Affairs. Why is this concerning? Well, Dodin once justified the Palestinian suicide bombers during the bloody Second Intifada.
Dodin is the daughter of Palestinian immigrants and she said in 2002 that “suicide bombers were the last resort of a desperate people,” as reported by the Lodi News-Sentinel.
The News-Sentinel reported that Dodin, who was a student at the University of California at the time, described her homeland as a place where “Palestinians are not given fair rights.”
Dodin is cited as saying that water is used a tool by Israel to “coerce the Palestinian population.”
The Second Intifada was a brutal Palestinian uprising that lasted for 5 years between 2000 and 2005 and claimed the lives of more than 1,100 Israelis at the hands of suicide bombers and other terroristic acts.
Dodin will be the first Palestinian-American to be appointed to a position as a White House staffer and she has a long history of anti-Israeli sentiment.
In 2001, Dodin was part of a demonstration at the University of California Berkeley that compared Israel to apartheid South Africa and called for the university to divest from the country.
Even when pro-Israel groups on campus called for peace, Dodin dismissed them and said they weren’t serious about it claiming that the peace they want is a “peace based on their rules.”
Ironically, the Democrats are now calling on all Americans to “unite” around Joe Biden after ferociously abusing and attacking conservatives for the last four years. The “unity” the left wants is based solely on the left’s rules. The left, who Dodin is with, is threatening Americans “unite … or else.”
For someone who is seemingly so familiar with being on the losing end of calls for peace, you’d think Dodin wouldn’t want anything to do with a political party who calls for “peace” and “unity” in a threatening way.
The problem has always been that the Palestinians don’t actually want peace and if they say they do, it’s to be on their terms.
In 2000 the Second Intifada was kicked off after then-PLO leader Yasser Arafat refused to accept an extremely generous peace agreement which included “more than 90 percent of the West Bank, a Palestinian capital in East Jerusalem, and shared control of the Temple Mount holy site,” according to Breitbart.
Does that sound like a group of people looking to arrive at an actual peace agreement?
In order to downplay Dodin’s past remarks and actions, the Biden-Harris transition team claimed in an emailed statement to the Jerusalem Post that Dodin has “grown from her youth.”
President Trump has managed to accomplish unprecedented peace in the Middle East and it seems as though Joe Biden is well on his way to undoing that. Assuming he gets in the White House.
