(Tea Party PAC) – Anytime a Hollywood actor or director — the vast majority of which are liberal — opens their mouth about political issues, you know you’re basically going to hear the verbal equivalent of donkey diarrhea mixed with pure ignorance.
These folks often preach tolerance, yet fail to apply that standard to anyone who dares to see the world differently than the way they do, which isn’t really all that tolerant at all, is it?
Actor Patton Oswalt is notorious for his cringy, offensive comments about President Trump, but it seems his ire doesn’t stop with the president, but extends all the way to his supporters as well.
According to Oswalt, if you support Trump, you’re an “asshole.”
Here’s more from Breitbart:
Actor Patton Oswalt didn’t mince words on Thursday when he declared that every person who voted for and still supports President Donald Trump is a “stupid asshole.”
“The President is a stupid asshole and if you voted for him you’re a stupid asshole and if you still support him you’re a stupid asshole,” Patton Oswalt said. “Oh no this Tweet is going to make all the stupid assholes not like me waaaaah.”

The Secret Life of Pets 2 actor’s screed was in response to President Trump’s Thursday morning tweet about global warming alarmist Greta Thunberg.
“So ridiculous. Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!” President Trump said about the 16-year-old, who was recently named TIME magazine Person of the Year.

Of course this isn’t the first time Patton Oswalt has lobed personal attacks against Trump’s supporters.
Last August, Oswalt, writing in an essay published on McSweeny’s said that those who support President Trump “can fuck right off.”
The King of Queens star, who called Hillary Clinton a “badass” for campaigning after being diagnosed with pneumonia, also said earlier this year that “America elected an openly racist, failed grifter, sexual predator to the highest office in the land — all by ourselves.”
Now, while it is easy to look at Oswalt and think he’s just another useless Hollywood tool — and there’s a good case to be made for such a thought — the truth of the matter is, he’s not consistently a jerk like this.
In fact, earlier this year, Oswalt got into a spat with a Trump supporter and then found out the man was having health issues and paid his medical bills.
Here’s more from the Chicago Tribune:
Michael Beatty wasn’t in the greatest of moods on Thursday afternoon.
The 64-year-old from Huntsville, Alabama, had recently returned home from two-week stay at hospital, where he said he fell into a coma because of complications from diabetes and sepsis.
Moreover, the Republican’s social media feeds were filled with posts he didn’t agree with, he said – further souring his emotional state.
One of those posts came from comedian Patton Oswalt, whose critical tweet about President Donald Trump pushed Beatty over the edge.
“I just realized why I was so happy you died in Blade Trinity!” Beatty responded Thursday afternoon, citing the 2004 film Oswalt acted in. He also referred to Oswalt as a “sawed off little man.”
In an interview Thursday, Beatty said he didn’t think Oswalt would ever read his replies. But the comedian responded before taking things a step further – pointing his 4.5 million followers toward Beatty’s GoFundMe account, created to help cover his incoming medical expenses.
Oswalt donated $2,000 to the fund, which had previously accumulated just over $600. In a sudden outpouring of support, the donations began pouring in.
So the question here is why is Oswalt so angry with people who see the world a different way than he sees it? Why can’t he apply the kindness he demonstrated to this total stranger to all Trump supporters and seek to understand where they are coming from?
Truthfully, both sides of the aisle could stand to behave that way more often toward each other. Here’s to hoping that happens sooner rather than later.
