(Tea Party PAC) – Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has once again proven that all his lofty promises to bring the Deep State to justice are empty and hollow.
He has been making lots of noise for a long time about the extent to which the Deep State plotted against our current president to try to keep him out of office and prevent him from getting elected in the first place.
He loves to go on cable television whenever he’s invited to pontificate about how much he supports Trump and opposes all the overt efforts to remove him from office.
And yet, since January 2019, he has been the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, meaning he has all the power to actually do something about the relentless assault against the president and the obvious corruption that took place in the federal government during the 2016 election and beyond, and yet he’s sat on his hands.
On May 1, 2019, Graham promised there would be investigations into the origins of the Mueller probe.
He’s done nothing, absolutely nothing, since being placed as the chairman of the Judiciary Committee.
So much so that it was a shock when he actually called for Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz to testify before his committee on Wednesday, December 11th.
This is the only committee hearing he’s called to address corruption in 2016 in his entire time as chairman.
And it seems, based on his actions this week, to be all he’s willing to do.
Earlier this week it was revealed that Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, collected the phone call records of reporters, President Trump’s attorney, and his own colleague in the House, Rep. Devin Nunes (D-CA).
Republican lawmakers, in response, urged Graham to subpoena Schiff’s phone records in response, which would be entirely valid considering Schiff had contact through an aide with the CIA whistleblower at the center of the House impeachment proceedings against President Trump before the “whistleblower” went to the intelligence community inspector general with his “complaint.”
Graham, however, said that that isn’t going to happen.
He has had far too many chances to prove he’s genuine about taking down the Deep State.
He’s clearly not.
