(Tea Party PAC) – With the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Washington D.C. has erupted in yet another political battle, one that might be the defining battle of the Trump presidency (so far), which is really, really saying something.
Trump’s first term has seen the biggest political scandal of our nation’s history, the most baseless impeachment trial in our nation’s history, and, amazingly, one of the most successful presidencies of our nation’s history.
Imagine what a Trump presidency could have been like without an obstructionist Democratic Party/Deep State complex intent on undermining him!
Now, with the surprising possibility that Trump could get a third SCOTUS pick in four years, the Democrats are on the warpath.
Maybe even literally.
Now is the time for Republicans in Washington D.C., more than ever, to hold their ground and stand up to the destructive and obstructionist Democrats and let Trump get that pick in.
Not only will the election determine the future of our republic, but the person who fills Ginsburg’s seat will as well.
This is of the utmost importance.
Thankfully, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee that will oversee a confirmation hearing for the nominee, is confident that the GOP has the votes it needs to pass such a person.
Graham expressed his confidence during an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Monday.
“We’ve got the votes to confirm Justice Ginsburg’s replacement before the election,” Graham said. “We’re going to move forward in the committee. We’re going to report the nomination out of the committee to the floor of the United States Senate so we can vote before the election. Now, that’s the constitutional process.”
He also slammed the Democrats for pitching a fit over the potential of a vote.
“It’s pretty obvious that if they (Democrats) want an outcome, they’ll just destroy anybody’s life to keep the seats open,” Graham said.
“They said they tried to destroy Brett Kavanaugh so they could fill the seat — they were dumb enough to say that. I’ve seen this movie before. It’s not going to work, it didn’t work with Kavanaugh.”
“We’ve got the votes to confirm the justice on the floor of the Senate before the election — and that’s what’s coming,” he declared.
