(Tea Party PAC) – Nobody’s favorite political documentary filmmaker, Michael Moore, is back at it again, spewing all sorts of anti-American nonsense, only this time he’s demanding that the rest of us follow him in his apostasy by joining a U.S. fencing team member in taking a knee during the National Anthem.
Nevermind the fact that not a single, solitary soul you can probably name gives a hoot about fencing, the very act he’s calling for Americans to participate in is spitting in the face of the brave men and women who have given life, limb, and blood to see this country and our way of life protected from those who wish to do it harm.
Here’s more from Breitbart:
Moore insisted that “we must all join” fencer Race Imboden who refused to stand for the Stars Spangled Banner after the U.S. men’s team won the gold in team fencing at the games in Lima, Peru, on Friday.
“Champion U.S. fencer took a knee on medals podium during national anthem,” Michael Moore tweeted, “as he called for social change in the US. We must all join him and others who risk criticism and punishment and take our own personal stands against this madness. R u ready?”

After he took a knee during the medal ceremony, Imboden took to Twitter to exclaim how ashamed he is of the United States.
“Racism, Gun Control, mistreatment of immigrants, and a president who spreads hate are at the top of a long list,” Imboden said on Friday. “I chose to [sacrifice] my moment today at the top of the podium to call attention to issues that I believe need to be addressed. I encourage others to please use your platforms for empowerment and change.”

Mark Jones, vice president of communications for the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, issued a statement noting that Imboden violated the rules of the games with his protest against the United States.
“Every athlete competing at the 2019 Pan American Games commits to terms of eligibility, including to refrain from demonstrations that are political in nature. In this case, Race didn’t adhere to the commitment he made to the organizing committee and the USOPC,” Jones said.
“We respect his rights to express his viewpoints, but we are disappointed that he chose not to honor his commitment. Our leadership are reviewing what consequences may result,” Jones added.
Imboden’s teammates, Gerek Meinhardt, and Nick Itkin, both stood at attention during the national anthem.
What this all boils down to is that taking a knee during the National Anthem is incredibly disrespectful to the people you represent during these sort of sporting events. It shows a lack of love and care for the nation you call home and is gravely disrespectful and offensive to folks who lost loved ones in armed conflicts to protect the rights we all take for granted each and every day.
The fact Imboden took this course of action seems like a desperate ploy to make him look important, “woke,” so he could get some attention, which, let’s be honest, he’s not going to get from just being a fencer. This is the problem with “hashtag activism.” Much of it is faked for the sake of building a social media presence and landing endorsement deals.
Activism is big money these days.
Hopefully, this guy will realize his error and apologize to those he has offended.
