(PCC)The terms “insurrection” and “sedition” hold significant gravity, often associated with acts of subversion and unrest. This is why Democrats employ these words as a weapon to cruelty torment their adversaries. Amidst the ever-changing and complex realm of contemporary American politics, the terms “insurrection” and “sedition” have once again emerged, capturing significant attention and concern.
The term “insurrection” evokes recollections of a nation deeply fractured and ravaged by the Civil War. During the post-war period, the framers of the Fourteenth Amendment aimed to establish accountability for individuals who had supported and aided the Confederacy. They implemented a policy which disqualifies such individuals from holding public office.
In present times, the notion of insurrection appears to be employed as a political weapon, rather than being strictly defined within the confines of the law.
Despite the intense debates surrounding Donald Trump’s tenure as president, it is important to note he has not faced any charges related to insurrection or sedition. The question arises as to why, one might inquire? The response, quite unexpectedly, is remarkably uncomplicated.
In the days leading up to the events on January 6th, former President Donald Trump made an offer to utilize military forces in order to safeguard the Capitol and its esteemed lawmakers. The Democrats, including the Democrat Mayor of Washington, D.C., declined his offer. Consider the prospect of pursuing legal action against former President Trump, who played a prominent role in safeguarding the Capitol and its occupants during a tumultuous period.
Many falsely claim President Trump authorized extremist groups such as the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers to incite insurrection lack concrete evidence to support them. The assertion lacks logical coherence. Contrary to claims suggesting Trump incited an insurrection, some argue his proposal to deploy military personnel actually contradicts such allegations.
When it comes to the removal of a president, the Constitution outlines a well-defined process: impeachment, subsequent conviction in the Senate, and ultimately, removal from office. The Democrats made an effort to scrutinize former President Trump, particularly in relation to the events transpired on January 6th. The impeachment process had all the earmarks of a witch hunt because it was hastily conducted, lacking proper hearings, due process, and substantial evidence, ultimately failing to achieve the intended outcomes. The required supermajority votes to remove him were not obtained.
In accordance with the constitutional framework, Donald Trump was acquitted of charges related to insurrection and sedition by the United States Senate, the designated authority responsible for handling such issues. However, there are individuals, who are frequently identified as tenured law professors, former federal judges, and members of left-wing Democrat organizations, who persist in filing lawsuits appear to have the intention of depriving millions of American citizens, particularly Republicans, of their voting rights.
Their stated goals are evident: they aim to challenge the integrity of the Constitution, cast doubt on the electoral system, and dismantle the Electoral College.
Thankfully, the American populace demonstrates a commendable level of astuteness and discernment. It is imperative we maintain a watchful eye and scrutinize whether the judiciary continues to possess the utmost integrity required to uphold the Constitution and safeguard the rights of every citizen. Not only will they firmly reject lawsuits lacking substantial evidence, but they will also contemplate imposing sanctions or disbarment on attorneys who file such cases in court.
Ultimately, it is of utmost importance to discern between authentic challenges to our Republic and mere political grandstanding.
Final Word: We the People must safeguard the integrity of our Republic, it is imperative we remain unwaveringly dedicated to upholding truth and justice, especially given the outright attack against Trump and the rule of law.
