(Tea Party PAC) – This week, our nation was given a new American hero under tragic circumstances.
Kendrick Castillo, an 18-year-old boy who was just days from graduating high school, was killed while trying to stop a school shooter who opened fire on his classmates.
Castillo’s life was not lost in vain. He likely saved many other lives, and will be remembered as a picture of heroism and selflessness.
We need more young men like Castillo. He is, in essence, exactly the time of young man it takes to stop school shootings, not just because he was able to physically stop the shooter, but because the virtue he embodied in his last brave act is exactly what is missing from so many young people’s lives.
School shooters are not a gun problem. School shooters are a morals problem.
And it is starting to look like young people are aware of this, which is a very, very good thing. In a very strange way, the tragic shooting at STEM Highlands Ranch seems to give America a glimmer of hope that we can start to change things as a society.
On Thursday, students at STEM Highlands Ranch got up and walked out of an event meant to honor Castillo when Democrat speakers tried to make it their own little Parkland.
Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colorado) and Rep. Jason Crow (D-Colorado) took turns trying to twist this somber event into their own personal rally to disarm Americans.
The students knew better. They actually walked out!
The vigil was held at a nearby high school, Highlands Ranch High School. It was sponsored by the gun control groups Brady’s Team Enough and March for Our Lives, who apparently didn’t waste a minute trying to stand of the back of a young man not yet buried to push their agenda.
The event, however, was billed as a vigil to honor and remember Castillo.
As the politicians peddled their anti-gun garbage, the students just got up and walked out.
Bennet, who is running for president and is pictured in the below tweet, said, “We live in a great country, but we need to fix these broken gun laws.”

Students then walked back into the gymnasium where the event was being held and took it over, complaining that the adults have politicized what they had expected to be a remembrance of their friend.
The students also confronted Bennett, telling them he should focus on “mental health” issues instead.

In other words, this disgusting attempt to hijack the grief and shock of high school students who just witnessed a tragedy blew up in this idiot’s faces.
These kids have more guts than most Americans!
It seems that at long last the Dems have finally overplayed their hand.
We have not forgotten the way the mainstream media swooped in on the tragic shooting in Parkland, Florida last year.
CNN’s anti-gun “town hall” rally was disgusting. Sheriff Scott Israel, whose several fatal errors allowed the shooting to take place, blamed Dana Loesch, the NRA, and Sen. Marco Rubio for the shootings while hyped-up, left-wing shooters called for Loesch and Rubio’s deaths.
