Oops: Why Hillary Clinton Could Be Charged Under The Same Standard Trump Was Held To In Bogus Impeachment

(Tea Party PAC) – An attorney representing former President Donald Trump in the Senate impeachment trial which came to a close Saturday revealed during the hearing that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton could be charged under the same standards used to charge Trump.

Democrats always walk right into those sorts of traps, don’t they?

In response to a question from Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) on Friday, Michael van der Veen argued that Clinton could, technically, be impeached for actions she took while in office, despite having left the State Department years ago.

“Is it not true that under this new precedent, a future House – facing partisan pressure to ‘lock her up’ – could impeach a former secretary of state, and a future Senate be forced to put her on trial and potentially disqualify her from any future office?” Rubio asked.

“If you see it their way, yes,” the attorney replied, in reference to the Democratic impeachment managers. “If you do this the way they want it done, that could happen to the example there – a former secretary of state – but it could happen to a lot of people. And that’s not the way this is supposed to work.”

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), the lead impeachment manager, dismissed this notion.

He claimed that this proposition had “no bearing on this case,” and that Clinton “was not impeached in office for conduct while in office.”

“Countless politicians have spoken of ‘fighting for our principles.’ Joe Biden’s campaign slogan was ‘Battle for the Soul of America.’ No human being seriously believes that the use of such metaphorical terminology is incitement to political violence,” van der Veen said.

He explained that although Trump, at no point in time, engaged in “language of incitement,” many Democrats in Washington, D.C. have employed “profoundly reckless, dangerous and inflammatory rhetoric in recent years,” including Mrs. Clinton herself who, he noted, “ridiculously declared the [2016] election [was] stolen by Russia.”

Trump was acquitted on Saturday as the 57-43 vote failed to secure the 2/3 majority needed to convict.

Hillary Clinton, meanwhile, walks free.

  1. That would be a neat trick if they tried it. The first thing is after 7 investigations by the Congress that had, Republican control of the House, Senate, and could find nothing to charge Clinton with, that she violated any law of this USA or the Constitution. Impeachment has to based on factual proven evidence, not accusations which have no proof of wrong doing.
