(Tea Party PAC) – On Sunday, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham teased a “damning” bombshell coming up in the course of the panel’s investigation into Operation Crossfire Hurricane, the FBI probe that ultimately laid the foundation for the Russiagate scandal.
“There’s a day of reckoning,” Graham told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo on her program “Sunday Morning Futures” on Sunday morning.
BizPac Review reports that Graham released a declassified FBI memo on Thursday that revealed the bureau had previously investigated the primary source for the notorious Steele dossier, Igor Danchenko, and whether he was illegally working as a Russian agent!
This is kind of a big deal. The dossier, which was used by the FBI to obtain warrants to spy on the Trump campaign, was not only funded by the DNC and the Hillary Clinton campaign, but was quickly debunked.
It is not some “oopsie” oversight for the FBI to rely on “intelligence” from someone they’d already investigated!
Graham explained that the Crossfire Hurricane team knew about the previous investigation in December of 2016 but this didn’t stop them from continuing to use the dossier to investigate the Trump campaign.
There’s more: the FBI also failed to disclose this information in their applications for FISA warrants to spy on the Trump campaign, Graham says.
On Sunday, Graham teased that “there’s something else coming more damning than this, believe it or not.”
He suggested that additional documents relating to the dossier and the FBI’s investigation could soon be declassified.
Bartiromo, for her part, reported that her unidentified sources have said that U.S. Attorney John Durham, who has been tasked with investigating the origins of Russiagate, is not likely to issue any additional indictments or a report on his investigation, however.
She explained that there is an internal debate at the Department of Justice over whether or not to release the information with the general election so close.
Graham said that he had no knowledge of what Durham plans, but that he’ll “be shocked if nobody’s charged with a crime at the FBI…for misleading the FISA court.”
Based on all the evidence that has come out over the last 3+ years, it certainly is hard to imagine there shouldn’t be more charges.
Of the upcoming Senate Judiciary Hearing with former FBI Director James Comey, Graham said, “I’m going to ask James Comey, did you know that the man who put the dossier together for Christopher Steele was a suspected Russian spy on the payroll of the Democratic Party. If you knew that why didn’t you tell the court?”
