Trump Delivers Powerful Message To Rightful Venezuelan President Guaidó At Stunning SOTU Speech

(Tea Party PAC) – President Donald Trump welcomed Venezuelan President Juan Guaidó to the House chamber last night as one of his distinguished State of the Union guests Tuesday evening, issuing him a stern promise that the United States will support his legitimate claims to the presidency in the face of the current defiant and illegitimate dictator, Nicolás Maduro.

In January 2019 Guaidó became president after the end of Maduro’s final presidential term.

However, Maduro refused to step down, claiming that he was entitled to the presidency based on a largely fraudulent 2018 election in which he’d allowed only Marxist candidates to participate.

The nation’s legislature, the National Assembly, used its constitutional power to replace Maduro with Guaidó, who was the leader of their branch of the government.

Maduro, however, remains in control of the armed forces and the presidential palace completely illegally.

Breitbart notes that “Guaidó is currently on a world tour to galvanize support for his interim presidency and allies in helping oust Maduro from power. Guaidó was a member of the socialist Popular Will party when he became president but left the party this month to dedicate himself completely to the campaign to restore democracy in his country.”

Guaidó was greeted with a rare moment of bipartisan applause during Tuesday’s State of the Union address when President Trump announced him.

“The United States is leading a 59-nation diplomatic coalition against the socialist dictator of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro,” Trump noted in his remarks. “Maduro is an illegitimate ruler, a tyrant who brutalizes his people. But Maduro’s grip of tyranny will be smashed and broken.”

“Here this evening is a man who carries with him the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of all Venezuelans. Joining us in the gallery is the true and legitimate President of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó,” Trump continued, pausing as the chamber unanimously cheered the legitimate president. “Mr. President, please take this message back to your homeland: All Americans are united with the Venezuelan people in their righteous struggle for freedom! Socialism destroys nations. But always remember, freedom unifies the soul.”

Breitbart adds:

The moment comes after months of growing restlessness and doubt surrounding Guaidó, who declared in April last year that the Venezuelan military had agreed to obey him, only to have Maduro and his defense minister, Vladimir Padrino López, mock him on state television and leave him once again powerless. Guaidó later agreed to “talks” with the Maduro regime brokered by Norway, a nation that does not recognize Guaidó’s legitimacy and a political move widely panned by the Venezuelan people.

Guaidó remains, nonetheless, the legitimate president of Venezuela. Venezuela’s constitution states that, in the event of a “rupture of the democratic order,” such as a president refusing to step down after his term ends, the National Assembly can appoint an interim president tasked with organizing elections.

Venezuela is currently suffering through the worst humanitarian crisis in its history. After 20 years of socialist rule, the nation’s economy has collapsed, leaving a broken electric grid, hospitals with a near-complete shortage of every basic medicine on the World Health Organization’s list of necessary medications, empty markets, and streets laden with garbage, where many Venezuelans scavenge to eat. Maduro has blamed President Donald Trump, and Barack Obama before him, for the crisis.

  1. With the amount of “OUR” tax dollars that the Democrats have wasted on bogus investigations and a fraudulent impeachment, we could have trained and rearmed thousands of Venezuelan people to retake their country by force. This falls under a commonly known fact that is being very well demonstrated in Venezuela right now and has been demonstrated for several months that is turning in to “YEARS”……. You can vote your way in to socialism…. BUT…. You have to shoot your way back out.

    • “You can vote your way in to socialism…. BUT…. You have to shoot your way back out.”

Brilliant summary of the problem – thank you, Mr. Schrodt!

  2. This is one of the most important battles before us and it exists primarily because the US has a socialist leaning media and the Democrats are loathe to admit that their incompetence caused much of it. Because of their infatuation with Obama and the whole Castro-Chavez romance, the plight of the Venezuelans dying like flies has been largely ignored by the Media. Is this fair or right that the Media is able to cause such misery without consequences?

  3. This why it’s important to get every member of the squad out of congress. They’re a poison that only spreads. Soros is another who has to be kicked out of this country.

  4. socialism always blames others for
    their failed policies to destruction.
    ironically socialism needs capitalism
    to tax for survival.
    better advise bernie and liz.

  5. Republicans did not walk out on Obama’s speeches. Yell out as a group. Tear up his speech and act like generally a baby. The Dumbocrats are in a complete mess and running around like a Chinese fire-drill.

  6. Welcome to the world that Bernie Sanders wants for the USA, where the people don’t have a say. It would be like where the Democrats tried to impeach Trump with some edited 4th hand testimony, but the Senate said no go. Without this check and balance us poor citizens have had it. There has never been a successful socialism government that was for the people. Try going to China to see what you get and explain it to those poor folks in Hong Kong.
