Trump Has Only One Word In Response To 12 Disloyal Republicans Who Voted Down Emergency Order In Senate

(Tea Party PAC) – Just moments after the Senate voted to block his national emergency declaration at the southern border, the President tweeted one simple word, which said it all:

“VETO!”

Amen, Mr. President!

On Thursday, the Senate voted to block the President’s declaration in a 59-41 vote. Twelve Republicans voted along with every Democrat to pass the measure.

GOP Sens. Lamar Alexander (TN), Susan Collins (ME), Mike Lee (UT), Lisa Murkowski (AK), Roy Blunt (MO), Rand Paul (KY), Pat Toomey (PA), Rob Portman (OH), Jerry Moran (KS), Marco Rubio (FL), Roger Wicker (MS) and Mitt Romney (UT) voted in favor of the resolution which would block the President’s national emergency declaration, The Hill reports.

Well, it’s not enough to stop the declaration: the President has veto power, which he flexed decidedly in his one-word tweet.

In a follow-up tweet, the President said that he looks forward to vetoing the “Democrat inspired Resolution” which would leave our border open to crime, drug trafficking, and the exploitation of women and children.

This marks the first time the President will use his veto power.

Two-faced Trump basher Senator Mitt Romney who courted the President’s endorsement when running for the shoe-in Utah Senate seat but turned on POTUS the moment he was elected, slammed the President Thursday morning ahead of the vote.

“I will today vote for the resolution of disapproval. This is a vote for the constitution and for the balance of powers that is at its core,” Romney said in a statement.

If the House moves to override the President’s veto, they would require a two-thirds vote, which they are unlikely to have.

The President told us it would happen like this, and now we know which Senators, when it comes down to it, do NOT support the President’s border agenda.
