(Tea Party PAC) – This is what it looks like when your narrative constantly fails.
If there is anything the left is particularly hysterical about, it’s climate change.
They believe they control the narrative and have the backing of the entire scientific community, but sensible people everywhere know that when it comes to climate change, nothing is as “settled” as they believe.
AOC has really amped up the rhetoric lately with her dramatic claims the world will end in TWELVE YEARS if we don’t pass the Green New Deal and destroy the American economy as we know it, which seems to have a lot more to do with her particular brand of “social justice” than it does with effectively curbing environmental catastrophe.
Bill Nye, another outspoken climate alarmist who prefers to insult the intelligence of his ideological opponents more than anything else, recently too a…well…a new approach towards convincing people the planet is too hot.
He literally lit a globe on fire on John Oliver’s show and cursed at the audience.
Wow, that’s effective.
During a segment on HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Nye performed his stunt, yelling, “the planet’s on f*cking fire!”
“By the end of this century, if emissions keep rising, the average temperature on Earth could go up another four to eight degrees,” Nye pontificated, pointing to the far-left Green New Deal, which has been criticized for, at the absolute very least, being so insanely costly it transcends reason and common sense.
“What I’m saying is the planet’s on fucking fire. There are a lot of things we could do to put it out — are any of them free? No, of course not. Nothing’s free, you idiots. Grow the fuck up. You’re not children anymore. I didn’t mind explaining photosynthesis to you when you were 12. But you’re adults now, and this is an actually crisis, got it?”
“Safety glasses off, motherfuckers,” he added, storming off screen.
Nothing is free? What a novel concept, from someone arguing in favor of a political movement in the party to hand out income to people too lazy to work because climate change.
These remarks came after the Senate voted down the Green New Deal packed 57-0. 43 Democrats voted “present” for the outrageous resolution.
Stunningly, however, among those who refused to vote for it were several 2020 Democrats who have endorsed the measure: Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), and Cory Booker (D-NJ).
In his own rant, Oliver defended the proposal, which has been branded a pie-in-the-sky proposal.
“It is a non-binding resolution that very briefly sets out some extremely aggressive goals, including achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions, meeting 100% of the country’s power demand through clean, renewable and zero-emission energy sources and creating millions of good, high-wage jobs in the United States,” he said. “The whole Green New Deal is just 14 pages long. That is seven pages shorter than the menu for the Cheesecake Factory.”
