WATCH: DeSantis Goes Hollywood, Releases ‘Top Gun’-Inspired Ad Taking Aim At Liberal Media

(Tea Party PAC) – Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis has once again proven that he’s awesome and is no doubt the future of the GOP, a road that was paved for him by President Donald Trump, by putting out a brand new campaign ad late on Monday that has a “Top Gun” theme to it.

According to the New York Post, the ad outlines his plan for winning a dogfight with what he refers to as the “corporate media.”

The Republican governor’s wife, Casey, then uploaded a video to Twitter — it’s a short one, clocking in at just a minute — on Monday evening, saying, “Top Gov… Dogfighting… Taking on the Corporate Media… Rules of Engagement are as Follows.”

DeSantis’ ad starts off by showing a huge hangar that carries the designation “Freedom Headquarters” and then cuts to the Florida governor, all decked out in a dark leather jacket and Tom Cruise’s classic aviator sunglasses that usually adorn his classic character Maverick in both the original “Top Gun” film and the 2022 sequel.

“Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, this is your governor speaking,” DeSantis can be heard saying, before going on to echo language used in the film.

“Today’s training evolution: dogfighting, taking on the corporate media,” he says in the ad.

“The rules of engagement are as follows,” the governor added. “Number one, don’t fire unless fired upon. But when they fire, you fire back with overwhelming force. Number two, never ever back down from a fight. Number three, don’t accept their narrative.”

While the Florida Republican governor is speaking, the video then cuts to several clips featuring press conferences where he took on mainstream media reporters — puppets — and shoots them down.

We then cut to DeSantis sitting in a jet, brandishing a helmet with a sticker that says “Top Gov.”

“All right, ladies and gentlemen,” the governor goes on to say, just before his young son comes into the ad and says, “Let’s turn and burn.”

DeSantis put out the ad just before Tuesday’s primary where Democrats will choose the challenger for the November midterms coming in just a few months. The current possibilities for his future opponent are Rep. Charlie Crist and state Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried.

“DeSantis is favored over both Crist and Fried, per a recent survey by Cherry Communications that showed both Democrats with 43% of the vote, while the GOP incumbent earned 50% against Fried and 51% against Crist,” the New York Post report said.

“Also Tuesday, Florida voters will choose the Republican and Democratic nominees for the House and Senate, with Democratic Rep. Val Demings the heavy favorite to face incumbent Republican Sen. Marco Rubio in November,” the report continued.

“In the House, outgoing Democratic Rep. Stephanie Murphy’s 7th District seat remains open and eight Republicans are looking to fill the spot, including state Rep. Anthony Sabatini — who has supported former President Donald Trump’s claim that the 2020 presidential election was rigged,” the Post stated.

As Demings is running for Senate, there are six members of the GOP and 10 folks from the Democratic Party are trying to fill the seat she leaves behind in the 10th District of the state.

DeSantis is a forced to be reckoned with in the state of Florida. There’s no way that any Democratic challenger is just going to waltz in and just smack the Republican incumbent out of his position.

In fact, according to BizPacReview, DeSantis was once heckled by some Democrats, but then got put in their place by his supporters.

Watch out, Dems. DeSantis is the future.
