(Tea Party PAC) – On Wednesday, President Donald Trump paid homage to the thousands of lives lost in the horrific and unprecedented terror attacks on September 11th, 2001 at a commemoration ceremony at the Pentagon.
He also gave a very severe warning to anyone who would attempt to repeat such an event.
This comes on the heels of a canceled meeting with Taliban negotiators which was secretly scheduled to be held at Camp David earlier this month, which he canceled abruptly after the Taliban took responsibility for a suicide bombing in Kabul that killed 12 people, including an American soldier.
“They thought they would use this attack to show strength, but actually what they showed is an unrelenting weakness,” Trump said.
He said that, in the days since the attack in Kabul, America has ramped up their efforts to fight the Taliban and that he was committed to fighting terrorism in general.
“If for any reason, they come back to our country, we will go wherever they are, and use power, the likes of which the United States has never used before,” the president said.
He was clear he was not talking about nuclear weapons, but that the US was committed to fighting terrorism.
“They will never have seen anything like what will happen to them,” he warned. “No enemy on earth can match the overwhelming strength skill and might of the American armed forces.”
