(Tea Party PAC) – Who did it best?
We all remember House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) sarcastic hand clap from last year’s State of the Union.
The bitter speaker was forced to sit behind Trump the entire time as he touted his accomplishments as she and her caucus had nothing more to boast of than a record number of women elected to Congress, something which the bold, patriotic women of the GOP have equal right to glory in.
On Friday, as the anti-Trump party reached new lows when it became clear that not only had the Russia investigation failed miserably, but the sequel did too, Ted Cruz gave a subtle little nod to the Speaker’s sarcastic moment from last year when he perhaps thought no one was looking.
Cruz (R-TX) was spotted on the floor of the Senate poking fun at the Speaker’s infamous little move during the vote which ultimately snuffed out the Democrats’ hopes and dreams of bringing in additional witnesses to the impeachment trial of Donald J. Trump.
The measure failed 51-49, giving assurance that this insufferable sham will not, in fact, be dragging on for weeks or even months more.
Fox News notes:
It was also determined that both the House impeachment managers and Trump’s defense team would make closing arguments Monday, with the Senate likely to vote Wednesday to acquit the president of charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
It was during a recess that Cruz was seen doing “the clap”:

Meanwhile, Senators across the aisle also seemed to have a sarcastic and jovial streak, although they certainly had less reason to be so.
An awkward exchange between Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., also became a viral sensation Friday.
Schumer, joined by Harris, Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio., and Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., held a press conference on Friday as Democrats continued to pressure Senate Republicans to allow additional witnesses to give their testimony.

But as a reporter began questioning the lawmakers, Harris was seen having a good chuckle with her Ohio colleague, prompting the minority leader to halt Harris’ laughter.
Harris responded with a facial expression of her own.
What’s she so happy about, anyway?
