(Tea Party PAC) – The Jan. 6 charade continues on. Despite Fox News host Tucker Carlson revealing that the events of Jan. 6, 2021, at the US Capitol were mostly uneventful with only sporadic and unorganized rioting taking place, the push to “get Trump” is still moving at full speed.
Now it appears as though former vice president Mike Pence will be required to testify before a grand jury regarding his interactions with President Donald Trump before and during the Jan. 6 events.
Sources told CNN that in a sealed ruling Federal Judge James Boasberg indicated that Pence must testify in Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigations into Trump’s alleged involvement with the “storming” of the Capitol building. While his appearance in front of a grand jury might be imminent, Pence will still be allowed to decline to answer questions as they relate to his own actions in the certification of the 2020 election results on Jan. 6.
Pence was subpoenaed for documents and testimony in February but has planned to challenge it. His argument to fight Smith’s subpoena is known as the “speech and debate” clause and is based on the grounds that he was a working member of the Legislature on that day and thus cannot comment on such legal proceedings.
“He feels it really goes to the heart of some separation of powers issues. He feels duty-bound to maintain that protection, even if it means litigating it,” a source close to Pence reportedly told Politico.
Roy Brownell, former counsel for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, noted that Pence’s role as president of the Senate protects him from having to testify.
NEW: A federal judge’s decision that Mike Pence must testify UNDER OATH before a grand jury about his conversations with Donald Trump leading up to January 6th is a MAJOR WIN for special counsel Jack Smith and a MAJOR BLOW to Trump.

While the federal judge ruled Pence must testify, he is still able to appeal.
Mark Meadows, former Trump chief of staff, was subpoenaed in January before Pence but has pushed back, citing executive privilege. Meanwhile, former Trump officials and Pence’s chief of staff, Marc Short, and his lawyer, Greg Jacob, have already testified.
It’s truly hard to believe that this charade is still chugging right along. It was clear from the very start that Trump did not incite any “insurrection” since there was no organized insurrection at all. The events of Jan. 6 were the result of undercover FBI agents and actors (such as Ray Epps) infiltrating the crowd and instigating people to take action.
If this were not true, why has Ray Epps never been charged despite being caught on video urging protesters to go into the Capitol?
Trump did not incite his supporters to attempt to overthrow the US government or behave violently. His own words should be enough to exonerate him. He told the massive crowd to make their way to the Capitol to “peacefully and patriotically” make their voices heard.
Trump should never have to be exonerated in the first place. This entire ordeal has been nothing more than a political witch hunt and a set up.
It’s time for the left, aided by activist judges and prosecutors, to give it up already.
