(Tea Party PAC) – It seems like liberals have been on a mission to destroy anything that is fun, having taken over the entertainment industry and transformed it into nothing more than a propaganda outlet, but that is not enough for them.

Now, according to a report from The Western Journal, they have decided to cancel fireworks at Mount Rushmore this year during Independence Day. Why? Because, apparently, the government finds it too risky.

Or, maybe, just maybe, they are terrified that such a rousing event would cause Americans to get all patriotic and start to once again stand up for the rights our forefathers shed their blood to earn?

For the second year in a row now, the National Park Service has shot down requests from South Dakota to put on a fireworks display at Mount Rushmore on July 4th, according to a report from Fox News.

“The display was eliminated from South Dakota tradition in 2009 because of the stated fire risks but returned in 2020 and included an appearance by former President Donald Trump,” the report said. “Leftists were sufficiently rankled by Trump’s appearance during a pandemic, though no cases of the virus could be traced to the event, and the event has yet to return.”

“Now in a letter to the South Dakota Department of Tourism, Michelle Wheatley, superintendent of the Mount Rushmore National Memorial, cited concerns such as potential pollution, wildfire risk, visitor restrictions to the park for the event and offense to tribal groups in the area to bar the display this year,” The Western Journal reported.

“After careful consideration, the NPS has determined that we are unable to grant your request for this permit to hold a special event with fireworks at the Memorial,” the March 14 letter went on to say.

“Based on the information provided in the application, we have determined that multiple such criteria are present for the requested event, each of which would be independently sufficient to deny the request for a permit,” the letter added.

And it just wouldn’t be right with the left if something they prohibited didn’t have some sort of nod to how such an event oppressed marginalized groups.

“Fireworks are viewed by multiple Tribes as an adverse effect to the traditional cultural landscape,” Wheatley went on to say, citing a Tribal Cultural Survey that was done back in May 2021 which stated “ample documented opposition from the Tribes to the 2020 event.”

The NPS then made the claim that fireworks, “present a clear and present danger to the public health and safety” despite the fact the 2020 display had no issues whatsoever.

This is now the second time in as many years that South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem has been denied a permit to hold the fireworks display at one of our nation’s most iconic landmarks.

“The Republican governor is involved in a pending lawsuit over the 2021 decision, though the state still pursued a request in September for a 2022 permit, according to the Argus Leader,” the report said.

“Mount Rushmore is the best place in America to celebrate our nation’s birthday — I just wish @JoeBiden could see that,” Noem stated, speaking of the decision in a tweet posted on Wednesday.

“His admin denied our permit application. We will move forward with our litigation and urge the court to help find a speedy resolution,” she vowed.

“Though some of the claims, such as wildfire risk and pollution, are valid, it can’t be overstated how President Joe Biden, his administration and leftists in general have a visceral aversion to anything patriotic,” the report continued.

But let’s face reality here. The left hates anything that promotes pro-American values. These are the same folks who do not think the awful scourge of slavery can be undone, and as a result, if you wave a flag or passionately sing the National Anthem, you’re a raging racist sporting a Ku Klux Klan outfit.

“Perhaps, this aversion to Independence Day festivities also stems from a decade-old Harvard University study that suggested people who participate in July 4 celebrations as children are more likely to be Republican adults,” the WJ reported.

What a shame that liberals hate the very country and the very liberty that gives them the right to complain.
