(Tea Party PAC) – You know you’re an unpopular individual when your potential new co-workers are already trying to avoid you and you haven’t even started the job yet.

That’s exactly what’s happening to current White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki. According to The Western Journal, Axios reported on April 1 that Psaki was planning to leave her current position with the Biden administration and had officially gone into talks with the folks at MSNBC to become a host for the network.

And, unfortunately, it wasn’t an April Fool’s joke. The report was authentic, though she has yet to confirm her plans for sure.

Speculation has continued to rage on about the possible move by Psaki, however, not everyone is happy about the idea of her joining the network.

“According to CNN, multiple NBC News journalists expressed dismay at the possibility of MSNBC hiring Psaki. Both networks are owned by the parent company NBCUniversal,” the report stated.

“Employees of NBC News were concerned hiring Psaki could tarnish the brand. In particular, some felt Psaki negotiating with MSNBC while she was still employed at the White House raised serious ethical questions,” the WJ report said.

“The Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the Executive Branch lays out the rules White House employees must follow regarding employment while working for the president,” it added.

“Employees shall not engage in outside employment or activities, including seeking or negotiating for employment, that conflict with official Government duties and responsibilities,” the standards say.

It’s not currently clear if the negotiations between Psaki and MSNBC are in conflict with her responsibilities, however, her actions are at least questionable from an ethical standpoint.

The backlash against the possibility of Psaki partnering with MSNBC from some NBC News journalists was so intense that the network’s president, Noah Oppenheim, felt it necessary to hold a phone call with them on April 1 to squash all concerns.

An anonymous source who was on the call went on to explain to CNN what Oppenheim told his employees.

“Here’s what he was saying: They have perspective programming,” the person went on to state. “This was done on the perspective programming side. Not anything that reflects on NBC News.”

“People wanted answers on what NBC’s role was in this and NBC News had no role in this. This is MSNBC’s perspective programming,” the source continued.

There are a couple of different reasons why these employees being frustrated by Psaki being potentially hired at their network is funny.

“First, these NBC News employees apparently believe their network has a higher reputation than it actually does. Most people who have watched both NBC News and MSNBC understand both networks are extremely left-leaning and politically biased,” the report stated.

Here’s the thing. If NBC News journalists want to keep their name sparkly clean and not have their reputations tarnished by those over at MSNBC, perhaps they should take a long look at the radical left-wingers like Rachel Maddow and Joy Reid who are already employed by the network.

“Second, NBCUniversal’s left-leaning bias makes this situation even more embarrassing for Psaki. Both NBC News and MSNBC have a propensity to cover Democrats positively, but even some of these employees are concerned about the optics of working with Psaki,” the Western Journal said.

It’s rich to suddenly see liberals like those employed by NBC News care about journalistic integrity when they were all about pushing false narratives the entire time that Donald Trump was in office.
