(Tea Party PAC) – Investigators in Georgia who are looking into a myriad of influences on the 2020 election have confirmed they are focusing on organizations that paid out cash to individuals who went around ballot harvesting.
As you know, ballot harvesting, the practice of gathering up ballots that are not your own, is illegal in the state of Georgia and most other states around the country.
The fact that it’s illegal most certainly did not stop it from happening rampantly all across the country and especially in the key swing states.
A new report from Just the News explains that they have obtained copies of subpoenas that have been issued in the investigation, via a public records process.
The subpoenas reveal the state Elections Board and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger are seeking testimony from election-integrity watchdog group True the Vote, founder Catherine Engelbrecht and its researchers’ evidence which the group used to confirm as many as 242 people illegally gathered third-party ballots during the 2020 presidential race as well as the special Senate races that took place weeks later.
The subpoenas (read them here) obtained by Just the News demand “the identity and contact information of the several individuals regarding personal knowledge, methods, and organizations involved in ballot trafficking in Georgia referenced in the Complaint and any recordings, transcripts, summaries, testimony, statements, witness interviews, notes or other documents describing what those individuals said.”
Included in the requested information are details about a whistleblower Engelbrecht’s group interviewed who confirmed being paid $10 per ballot he collected along with “all statements John Doe made regarding his alleged participation in ballot harvesting in Georgia.”
Engelbrecht confirmed to Just the News that Raffensperger is investigating the claims of mass ballot trafficking and voter abuse and that she was consulting with her lawyer about the subpoenas.
“The issues his team is tackling are both massive and complex, and investigations like this will take time,” she stated.
The state investigators want the identities of the “network of non-governmental organizations that worked together to facilitate a ballot trafficking scheme in Georgia,” and also information about 10 “hubs” which purportedly coordinated ballot trafficking.
This is the next obvious step. After Engelbrecht and her organization were able to expose the “mules” who trafficked the ballots, now it’s time to follow the money and hold those in charge responsible.
The subpoenas are looking to do just that. Signed by acting Elections Board Chief Matt Mashburn, they are calling on True the Vote to provide any information they have about the groups that financed the harvesting operations. The report noted the harvesting operations is a scheme that “is expressly prohibited in Georgia and many other key election states.”
Raffensperger had confirmed back in January that there was an investigation into ballot harvesting claims and that he believed the investigation could lead to criminal charges.
Once they follow the money trail and find out who was paying the ballot mules, there won’t be any other course of action besides criminal charges.
U.S. Rep. Austin Scott, R-Ga., told Just the News that there are very suspicious circumstances involving the ballots that were harvested and counted.
“And so one of the things that came about from that is that you look at a Barack Obama, who got 85,000 absentee ballots, Hillary Clinton got about 100,000, Stacey Abrams got 135,000, and Joe Biden gets 850,000 absentee ballots. And so I think that anybody who would look at those numbers would reasonably agree that we need to know who’s voting in these elections.”
