(Tea Party PAC) – A brand new column from a radical left-winger has been published by The Hill which features a proposal that Joe Biden, the current commander-in-chief, make California Gov. Gavin Newsom, himself a far-left progressive, the president. What kind of fresh hell is this, you ask? That is a good question. This is the most absurd, horrifying, and downright illegal proposal I’ve ever heard. Just imagine the irreparable damage that would befall the nation if Newsom took the reins in Washington.
BizPacReview revealed that Douglas MacKinnon, a political and communications consultant who worked within the Reagan, H.W. Bush, and Bush administrations, says that making such a move would only require a little legal gymnastics on Biden’s part to make that happen. If that doesn’t make you lose sleep tonight then nothing will.
“In one scenario, Biden could ask [Vice President Kamala] Harris to resign and replace her with Newsom, who then becomes the heir apparent for 2024. Or Biden could replace Harris with Newsom and then resign himself, making Newsom the president before 2024 and arming him with the full force of the Oval Office,” MacKinnon stated in his piece for The Hill.
Okay, so this first idea doesn’t really click in the old brain basket, seeing as Newsom could, you know, just run for president in 2024 without being made the vice president first. Duh. MacKinnon’s second nightmarish proposal makes sense, but it isn’t clear whether this kind of plan is constitutional or not.
However, that doesn’t really seem to matter because critics are not on board for either idea:
Yeesh. First… you don't just ask your VP to resign short of some enormous scandal or health crisis. It's not done & would like the cynical panic move that it is.
Second… elbowing out a black woman for a white man would just taint Newsom forever in the eyes of many Dems.

Fire your black female VP, replace her with a white guy she used to work with in California, then quit despite being more popular than the two of them put together. Can’t miss!

This is not only bananas but misses the salient fact that women furious at Dobbs demolished the red wave. That does not automatically make one think of Gavin Newsom, pro-choice though he may be.

This is comparably anti patriotic to suggesting legislatures pick the electors and void the will of the people. It is as antidemocratic as it comes. It is disgusting. Honestly, The Hill should have refused to print it.

im sure this maneuver will feel legitimate to a lot of people

“There’s also the racial matter. While some critics raised concerns about Newsom, a white guy, taking over for Harris, a black woman, other critics meanwhile zeroed in on the fact that the Democrat Party is increasingly anti-white these days,” BPR stated.
The idea of replacing one white president with another one is not settling well with the woke crowd.
They still don’t get it, there will never be an ALL white, and ALL male ticket again in the Dem Party. The backbone, base, and majority of the party has decided. Newsome will never get the Black vote!

During a segment on the latest episode of “Real Time” with Bill Maher, the comedian tackled this very issue, pointing out that going forward, the Democratic Party is probably going to be the “no straight white guys” party. He’s not wrong. We all know that’s what radical woke progressives really want.
“The last thing you want is a straight white guy. Sorry Gavin Newsom!” he zinged.

Another good question to ask is why MacKinnon wants Biden to be replaced? It seems that his first worry is that former President Donald Trump might not make the decision to run for president in 2024. He then stated that both Biden and Harris are a “drag” on the party.
“I have written that I don’t believe Trump will run but will drag out the anticipation for as long as possible to keep his ‘brand’ in the news and the campaign donations flowing in. If he does declare that he will not be a candidate in 2024, how much energy will leak out of the Democratic vote machine? Potentially quite a bit,” he went on to write.
“That possibility, coupled with the drag that Biden and Harris are already attaching to the Democrats’ chances to retain the White House in 2024, raises a critically important question of strategy for their party: Do Democrats jettison both Biden and Harris or keep them and more than likely lose to a strong Republican ticket of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and, perhaps, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley?” he added.
The conclusion that MacKinnon reaches is that the best chance the Democratic Party has of keeping the White House in 2024 is to dump Biden and Harris, replacing them with Newsom and some other individual to be the vice president. I mean, I think that’s true to an extent. The Democratic Party will definitely be in trouble if Joe Biden runs again. However, the worst idea in the long history of bad ideas is to replace him in any fashion with Newsom.
“What Tuesday’s voting demonstrated is that our country is still equally divided and deeply polarized, with no political healing on the horizon. That reality speaks to the need for a proven vote-getter with lots of money and a logistical machine behind him. In Politics 101, California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) meets — maybe even exceeds — those qualifications,” he said in his article.
To say his conclusion has not been well received is an understatement.

Newsom was once married to Kimberly Guilfoyle. No way I can ever trust his judgment.

There are many people in California alone who would be much better than Newsom. Katie Porter, for example.
