(Tea Party PAC) – Gas prices in the US have officially broken the all-time record high this week and President Trump did not waste any time slamming Biden over it.
With the national average gas price at $4.17 as of Tuesday, Trump had one simple question for Americans. In a statement shared by his spokeswoman Liz Harrington on Twitter, Trump took note of the record-breaking prices and asked, “DO YOU MISS ME YET?”
During the 2020 campaign, President Trump warned America that if Biden were to ascend to the White House it would mean the end to the “energy independence” the US had accomplished during his administration.
“As long as I’m president, we will remain the No. 1 one producer of oil and natural gas anywhere on this planet,” he said during a Nov. 2, 2020, speech in Michigan.
“And for the first time, we are energy independent. You never heard that term before. We’re energy independent.” At the time he gave that speech, the national average price per gallon was $2.20.
“If Biden got in, you’d be paying seven dollars, eight dollars, nine dollars,” Trump predicted, adding, “Then they’d say, ‘get rid of your car.’”

On day one of the Biden regime, Biden made it his first order of business to see to it that the US was no longer energy independent, resulting in Trump’s prediction coming to fruition.
The Biden regime has been pushing hard for Americans to run out and buy electric vehicles. The high gas prices are not a happenstance and they certainly aren’t Putin’s fault. It’s all by design.
The radical, green-obsessed left wants nothing more than to see Americans dutifully and obediently ditch their gas-powered cars in exchange for expensive electric vehicles.
Of course, when President Trump made his prediction the left’s media lapdogs criticized him over it with the The Washington Post calling it “dubious” and even cited so-called “experts” who said concerns about gas prices spiking under Biden were being “overblown.”
As usual, President Trump turned out to be right.
Over the weekend, residents in some parts of California saw the “seven dollars” per gallon Trump predicted. One station near the massive Beverly Center shopping mall in Los Angeles had regular gas priced at $6.95 a gallon and premium at $7.55, according to WRC-TV.
These prices were significantly higher than the Orange County average of $5.24 per gallon on Saturday but even that number had risen 52 cents over the course of the last month.
Of course, California is going to lead the country in gas prices. Nationally, as of Tuesday, according to AAA, the national average was $4.17 a gallon which surpassed the July 2008 record of $4.11.
What’s astonishing is that just one week ago it was $3.65.
? ? I remember the good old days when I was upset when I was paying $5 a gallon of gas ? ?
$7 a gallon for regular gasoline? At least 1 gas station in LA is getting close to that mark https://t.co/aQwccbyiEQ#GasPrices #Gasoline #LosAngeles

Trump wasn’t just right when he predicted skyrocketing gas prices under Biden. He also correctly predicted that the left would use the exorbitant prices to further push their “clean” energy agenda.
On Monday, US Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg outright asserted that Americans should get rid of their gas-powered cars in exchange for electric vehicles.
“Clean transportation can bring significant cost savings for the American people, as well,” Buttigieg said in a speech.
“Last month, we announced a $5 billion investment to build out a nationwide electric vehicle charging network, so that people from rural to suburban to urban communities can all benefit from the gas savings of driving an EV.”

The message from the Biden regime is clear: high gas prices are here to stay, get an electric car or get used to it.
Just like the crisis on the southern border, the high gas prices are exactly what the regime wants and you can bet they have no plans to do anything about it.
