(Tea Party PAC) – According to New York Post reporter Miranda Devine, Twitter executives who made the claim that there wasn’t any “shadow-banning” on the social media platform have been busted in a “lie,” she went on to say during an interview with conservative powerhouse Tucker Carlson last Thursday during his Fox News program, going on to add that the latest “Twitter File” revelations were “really gratifying.”
“It is really gratifying to see it laid out in policies, and to catch out those top people at Twitter in their lies, because they did lie,” Miranda Devine told Carlson. “They said that there was no shadow-banning going on where we knew, just by our own experience on Twitter, I, for instance, since Elon Musk bought in, have increased my follow count by 40%, and that’s just something that’s experienced by conservatives across the board,” Harold Hutchison, writing for the Daily Caller, noted.
“Journalist Bari Weiss released a series of documents showing that prominent conservatives, including Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, were targeted for what some call ‘shadow-banning,’ where accounts remain active, but post visibility is drastically reduced. Twitter executives, including former CEO Jack Dorsey, denied the practice took place, and also denied that it was done on the basis of political views,” Hutchison continued.
Weiss then revealed that Kirk’s account was set to “Do Not Amplify,” while a “Search Blacklist” label was slapped on Dan Bongino’s account. Bongino is a frequent guest on a number of Fox News programs and has his own conservative talk radio program. Weiss also went on to talk about the multiple suspensions of Libs of TikTok, which was allegedly put in the penalty box for violating the social media company’s “Hateful Conduct” policy, despite the fact that executives remarked that the owner of the account had not “directly” violated the rules.

7. What many people call “shadow banning,” Twitter executives and employees call “Visibility Filtering” or “VF.” Multiple high-level sources confirmed its meaning.

11. “We control visibility quite a bit. And we control the amplification of your content quite a bit. And normal people do not know how much we do,” one Twitter engineer told us. Two additional Twitter employees confirmed.

On 1) We’re always working to improve our behavior-based ranking models – their breadth and accuracy will improve over time. It’s important to note that these behavior signals are not binary, and they are one of many other signals that factor into ranking.

“Journalist Matt Taibbi published documents Friday about Twitter’s actions with regards to an October 2020 report by the New York Post about the contents of a laptop abandoned by Hunter Biden. Twitter censored the story, blocking the New York Post from accessing its account,” the Daily Caller report stated.
“You notice from all the names, that Bari Weiss has brought up tonight, they are all conservatives, and Bari Weiss is not a conservative, she’s ex-‘New York Times,’ I bet she would be a red-pilled liberal if anything, if there were left wingers that had been banned you can bet she would have named them to be equal opportunity,” Devine commented, going on to add that former FBI lawyer James Baker, who was fired by Musk Tuesday, “snowed” Taibbi.
In light of concerns about Baker’s possible role in suppression of information important to the public dialogue, he was exited from Twitter today

Baker allegedly vetted the documents from the Friday batch of Twitter documents put out by Musk, Taibbi went on to say.
We can now tell you part of the reason why. On Tuesday, Twitter Deputy General Counsel (and former FBI General Counsel) Jim Baker was fired. Among the reasons? Vetting the first batch of “Twitter Files” – without knowledge of new management.

“Twitter is working on a software update that will show your true account status, so you know clearly if you’ve been shadowbanned, the reason why and how to appeal,” Musk stated in a Thursday post on the social media site.

The Tesla CEO then made several comments after Weis published the thread acknowledging that enforcement of the rules had not been even, saying some conservative accounts had been suspended despite not having broken any of the rules. Musk also told the owner of Libs of TikTok that he was currently looking into a continued shadow-ban of content.
As @bariweiss clearly describes, the rules were enforced against the right, but not against the left

True, some accounts on the right were suspended even when Twitter internally acknowledged that no rules were broken

Looking into it
