Let it be known all individuals with severe intellectual and psychiatric disabilities are eligible to be hired by the FAA for pilot positions, jet engine mechanics and any and all aviation positions including but not limited to Flight attendants, Airport mangers, flight instructors, aviation managers, aerodynamic engineers, ground-based air traffic controllers, and more. Wait a minute! I am supposed to fly on an airplane whose pilot may be severely psychiatric or intellectual incapacitated! WTF! I’m at 30,000 feet over the Atlantic and my pilot goes wacko all because of Diversity, Equity! and Inclusion !

Get this. FAA’s hiring plan, as outlined on its website, highlights the significance of diversity in fulfilling its mission of ensuring safe and efficient travel across the nation and beyond. The guidelines on diversity hiring were last updated on March 23, 2022.
To better define these complex issues of DIE hiring here is a list of what the medical profession considers some of the intellectual disorders:

- Fragile X syndrome
- ADHD
- Cerebral palsy
- Dyslexia
- Tourette syndrome
- Apert syndrome
- Cognitive disorders

The FAA’s website provides a detailed process for managers to hire individuals having ‘Severe Intellectual’ and ‘Psychiatric’ through an efficient “On-the-Spot hiring process” requires specific documentation. In addition, the agency guarantees employees with ‘Severe Intellectual’ and ‘Psychiatric’ will be provided with “reasonable accommodation” in the workplace.
